This is another really great idea -- you have a good eye for interesting photos and possibilities. The person in the background is a little distracting though. For something like this, I would shoot several shots, changing my perspective and angles, and playing with lighting. Great colors!

This is very cool -- I can't even imagine how you captured it....especially the bubbles caught on the wings.

Thanks Corrina!

I really like the mood and composition here, but the full exposure of the breasts seem unnecessary. My personal preference would be to crop just below the (model's) right breast -- exposing the nipple hiding behind the cloak, but not showing the other breast exposed. I think that would create a more private sense of intimacy for the viewer, which would force a more complex understanding of Mary Magdalene as an idea.

Perfect complementary color palette.

Love it!

Lovely and haunting.

I like the monochrome color choice. Works well with the denim.

Nice colors and composition. One thing to think about is the view of the horizon through the bridge. From the top visual angle of the bridge down to the ducks you have a large diamond of virtually blank space....and I find myself looking for something to latch onto there.

I really like the idea and hope you get a chance to experiment with this more. There wasn't quite enough in the background to hold my interest, and I would consider cropping the ground level details for an interesting abstract. At first I thought it was a flower photographed through an icy window -- not a streetlamp!

I love the green mossy tones you've captured here, but I'm not completely sure of the framing choice. It seems to be halfway between landscape and abstract -- for myself personally, I think I would have liked this best as an abstract with closer focus on the tree trunk and less background showing through. Great subject matter!

I like this a lot. I'm of the personal opinion that there simply isn't enough orange in the photographic world -- seems to be all used up in sunsets and then forgotten. :-) This is bright and soothing at the same time.

The flowering pink branches work well against the sky -- and that's the most compelling part of this photo for me.

This is really a stunning portrait. Very nice details and focus, but unusually soft tones for a b&w treatment. I like it very much. The blurred focus on the chin is just a bit distracting -- but other than that -- exceptional!

This is my favorite of the group because it seems to have the strongest balance of both contrast and subject matter. Here, the brightness of the clouds highlights the features of the landscape, and the dark mountains and sky (sprinkled with distant white clouds) adds a lot of depth of perspective. Nice work!

I really like the balance between the red lights on the left and green lights on the right -- provides vertical as well as horizontal symmetry.

Janie,
I love the expression and the way the hood of the jacket managed to look like a draped bonnet! I do think the reflections in the window are a little distracting, so I would try to shift the subject to the side to avoid those reflections. Great subject!
