1.
And remember the flash will work at any shutter speed on this camera.....that's a great feature.

 2.
Edward I have a question for you.
I noticed it more with different screens, seemed to be more pronounced with the older Fiber optic Hasselblad screen.
I noticed it less with the newer accumate screen.
Could this also be true?

The funny thing is I never really noticed it until Hasselblad addressed the problem.
As most older cameras had similar symptoms.

 3.
The "CM" came out in 1980, so if you stick with a CM or newer you are at least as new as your 645.
Hasselbald in New Jersey is still selling parts and doing service. They would be my preference over a independent. I ordered a part for a ELM just last month, they shipped it very fast.
Some independents are great, but unless you know them they can be hit and miss. I know from experience, but have only had the best from the New Jersey office.
I switched from 645 to Hasselblad in 1980, the main service is on the backs....light seals etc.
If the optics have been setting with out use, be weary of the slow shutter speeds.
I personally have not needed a part that was not in stock as of yet.
My recent need was the plastic screw that hold the battery cover on the ELM body.......in stock, had it in less than a week.
Good luck with what ever you decide, I have been very happy with Hasselblad.

 4.
The numberearly CMs did not come with accumats......
I would guess this does not have one.
You can find the year of the camera with the serial number.

 5.
Okay Ray I was off by one year, bought it in 1975..........but yes I had to always carry spare battery's when in the cold with that camera.
When the battery's warmed they would often work again.

Any way the point I was trying to make was with an electronic shutter you may need an external power supply?

But you did not pick that point apart.......
Glad to have experts on board.

 6.
What John said......the hooks came with the new camera bodys when new.....but I'm sure most were lost right after.

 7.
I bought a Mamiya 645 in 1974 when they first came out.........it ate batterys in cold weather.
I would go out to shoot a mill in the snow, when I got there the battery was dead.
In 1980 I dumped all my 645 gear and bought a Hasselblad CM set......never had a battery problem again.
Maybe you could rig up an external power supply of sorts for long exposures?
It would probably be your only solution, good luck Jim.

 8.
Just put black tape over the dark slide slot next roll, see if the light leak stops.
I still bet its the dark slide seals that are leaking......just try this.
And yes it will show up faster with higher speed film.

 9.
Yes they should work fine....the purist would never use them though.
