A very original and creative take on something we see a lot here in New Mexico. It took me a moment to see what it was. I think this is terrific lighting and isolation of the interesting part of this plant -- great work!
  1. This is too big for photo.net uploads; it should be less than 600 kpixels, but is 2.15 Mpixels. Please make a smaller one and upload it instead.

As for the photo, it is an excellent record of the window, well-exposed and sharp. That's all I can say about it.

  2. Very nice! This picture tells a story very effectively and without words, and it's a fine picture besides, with an attractive model. I like the use of the dark area to frame the girl and to lead your eye toward the window.
  3. I think this is quite lovely; it almost looks like a fire of green and yellow flames to me. The details in it are fascinating and draw my eyes to the center, and the green base is well-formed and complements the "flames" very well. The background has some interesting forms, but they are clearly subordinated to the central figures. This is excellent work, and a great start at PS mods. I would suggest making such things somewhat less symmetric, however, since it is a little too static for my taste; some asymmetry would liven it up more and provide some tension from side to side. Thanks!
  4. I like the idea, but I see a couple of problems with it. For one thing, the highlight on the left side of the glass ball is a real distraction, as is the brightness of her halter and shirt. These need to be toned down so that the viewer's eye is drawn to her face and its refracted image. I think that refining the lighting could make this a much better photo.

Very nice and quirky! I particularly like the "eyebrows." It took a good eye to see this in the flower, and I'm really impressed by your control of the depth of field here. This is a great shot, and a novel one as well.

Just beautiful! Wonderful color, just enough very sharp detail, good composition - a great pleasure to look at. Congratulations on a superb picture and a very good eye!

Not just a beautiful child, but also beautiful tonalities, especially of the skin. This is a great photo, and just wonderful to look at at length. Such a lovely expression, sweet and innocent!

  6. This picture really seems to capture the feeling of the scene; the cold gray sky contrasts very effectively with the warmth of the building color. This is the sort of picture that makes you feel like you are there. I find the colors and tones here just right for the scene, and I am quite content with this crop.

I like the pose, the model, and the lighting, but I think the background is unfortunate, especially the blotchy blue and whitish bar. However, it's an excellent shot despite the background.
