  1. I would have to agree with Les on this one. The white balance in MHO is off. She needs to be warmed up with lighting or filters or just adjust the white balance. It seems to warm to have the blueish cast, but if that is the look you are going for, by all means disregard this comment. JP

Photo of my new niece. These kind of photos just show how frail we

start out in life. The light was so bright to look at so she had to

wear the little eye mask. She is doing just fine now without the

light and growing every day. JP

    Gary,

Nice capture however, in my humble opinion it would be nice to see the full spread of the wings. (tip to tip) That said it is very sharp and great color rendition. Thanks for sharing. JP

Thanks for all the comments. Just a little history about the location... Just behind the house and trees is a sleepy little town of Arco, Idaho. It was the first town lit by nuclear power in the world. (July 17, 1955) The community is still there in the background and two main roads intersect in the middle, but if you get the angle just right you can see into the past when this old house was one of the only few out there. Just trying to get some ideas here. This is the second of two photos

with different color shifts to them. Please let me know what you

    think. JP

Just thought I would share a photo from Bannack Days in Montana. Not

quite sure if it should go under "still life" or "wild life", so it

will get posted under events. LOL Have a great one. JP

Just had to share this one. Best viewed larger as to see the

intensity in the man's face. Comments are always welcome. If you

rate 3/3 please let me know why. Thanks, JP

I am thinking of entering this in a local photo contest. Can any one

give me any recommendations on how to improve? Thanks in advance, JP

Just getting your opinion about the background. I am wondering now if

it would be better without the other tractor silhouette in there.

Thanks for your comments in advance. JP

  2. Meir,

Thanks for the comments. I do appreciate them as I also appreciate that you do not rate birds because that isn't your thing. I wish more people would critique or rate fairly with a critique instead of just giving 3/3 because they don't like that type of photography. Thanks, JP
