Thank you Mark, Gerry, Alan, and John!
About what the girl was thinking at the time. I'd better leave this unanswered or else - the magic of guessing would be gone. On the other hand - even I can only guess what's on her mind. Maybe she'll brake the silence and come up with a statement. Sometime. Later.

Teddy, this one is intense and well composed.
Just wondering - did you use reflector or there was a second source - on the right side?

Critique is welcome.

Arda, I like the pose and place/light is spot on, just these two shadows (one from window frame and the other - from the side of a blanket) are a little distracting.

Jaroslaw, I like the color versions better. No, it's not like B&W is bad, not at all, but I like the monochromatic appearance of the wall and the girl in the other shot (right next to this one).

I like the composition and expression. Exposure [or shall I say - the angle of model to the light] is perfect IMHO.

I like the composition here. Great picture, as usual from you!

Thank you Bandana Man, Alf, and Howard!
This is a slightly misty morning light. We had to wake up before 3 AM to catch the first rays of light.

Simple, yet powerful.

Really early summer morning.

Roger, yes, have to agree - water is soothing. Especially white water and seaside. Fills up with positive energy. Dark waters can be depressing but white water - never. Thank you for the reflection on your own experience.
Thank you Andreas! Yes, have to admit that face is underexposed. Though, here I wanted to concentrate on overall mood and the light play on model's body. Sure, Photo Window Pro would help to bring out the face but I like to keep it "as is" or "from camera". The other option would be asking her to raise the head. That would be a very different picture and far from relaxed.

Enjoying summer pleasures.

Very strong portrait!

Roger, thank you for opinion. I guess, I have to revisit the place next summer (I'm frequenting the place anyway) and make a more balanced picture. Now I see that the empty space infront of the girl is too dark [boring?]. Lower vantage point would help here - the sandstone cliff would be more interesting and full of texture. I'll try to post another pic later this week where emphasis and angle is different.

Time to reflect on past summer.
