these kinds of things are pretty common over here. they call them the heritage flights and they usaly throw up a mustang in there too. Its one of the coolest sounds in the world. I'll upload one of my pics to my portfolio for the fun of it so you can see (but i won't keep it long, its a crop from a 55mm lense).

in photo shop, just remember to make sure that when you do it, its either blatently obvious and... artiscly different, or unotieceable. My have a friend who made that mistake once, made the train that was going away look like it was going parralel, and got caught..
anyway, it still an awesome image with great timing.

nice.

gotcha.

hmm, this gives me a DOF idea, similar to my dog :) . Nice, good DOF for a standard photo, good color, and i have a feeling you were holding some food in front of him/her... i guess the camera may count as that...
-
wow, awesome DOF and color. The expretion doesnt hurt much either! very nice job.

door frame, but thats what happens when i take photo's at 1:30am when the dog wont leave. also, i wanted to label the picture unmanipulated.

not a new shot, but a good one nonetheless. think photoshop can make the contrails pop out a little more? that would be icing on the cake.
-
a little tighter crop i think would be good, but its fine just the way it is with vapor trails. exellent timing, play video games :) ?

this is what i know, not what i can do, but i beleive for a shot like this, you should have slowed the shutter down to blur the prop. on the other hand, that would come at an expensse to losing sharpness of the airplanes crossing as you cant really pan... Photoshop maybe?

i have been told before by people that there is just too much black
in the picture, but i still like it for that same reason. What say
you?
ratings, comments and critique are welcome, and the latter of the3
are of course appreciated, no matter the nature

well Gary, i can assure there was a rainbow there, i remember postioning myself so that it was just above the canopy. However, the camera didnt seem to pick it up as good as i hoped, and the white bal was wat off so there was some post editing that maybe didnt do the rainbow too much justice.

thanks for the encouragement mike. I certainly thought it was better than the initial ratings, though they have come up a bit since your post, which is good.

cant say anything that wasnt already said.
nice shot.

i think i actually like the skier a little bit father away. I fear that if they are too close, and not in motion it may come out a little candid?
what mountain is that?
very nice shot.

i have nothing constructive to add.
very nice shot.

very very nice. sharp, good colors, pretty good timing. I just wish i could see more of the raptor. However, you dont really have control over that kind of postioning, everything is trade off. thanks for making me want that new lense more than ever now...
-
was this cropped? im going to be getting a 210 lense soon and im curious to know how much i'll need to crop flight photos.
i like how you got the contrails here, those definetly add a lot i think.

Thanks everyone for the comments.
August, one reason i did not brighten it up is that if i brigthen it, everything gets brightened and i think it looses a litle of its 'prescence', of justting out into the frame.
