  1. much of what i said on the mustang photo applies here but i would suggest a little less burned out area around the prop if possible. You have made a great balance between sun and detail though and i congradulate you on that.

    nice job

  2. an awesome sky, and neat lighting. i like the way the prop is lit at the tips and the sun burning through the canopy. Reminds me of the B/W shot of the F16 that i have if it had turned out right. I must tell you though that im viewing this on a laptop, which means its entirely possible that it may be a dark shadow like many of mine are (which are not on my LP which does not show shadows for some reason, too bright with too much gamma i guess). In which case, if it is, i would suggest lightening it so that the plane has a little color in the fusalodge. like i said though, im not really seeing "what the photo actually looks like". There isnt background clutter though, so i dont stark siholhetes (still cant spell that word...) nor many shadows are good. but if that is not how it is, and the details are all present on a real screen, then i would say dont touch a thing and im surprised you haveny gotten any comments.

    nice job.

thanks for that suggestion. my reason for not cropping (if i recal when editing this at 2am) was to make it a wide angle. i think on the return of this trip im taking i may be able to try using a tele though and try again.

tell me about it! this was the best i could do to get trees out of some part of the frame. I think you're right though, i should have used the tele; however this was taken from the side of a mountain and there's no way i would have carried that lense up there... it was hard enough as it was.

    thanks for the critique.

these recent photo's are being taken on the road and edited on a

laptop, so i cant tell whats monitor dirt and whats on the sensor nor

can i vouch for color correction...

comments and critique are always appreciated.

its a very good photo, but there are some over sharpening halos around the head i think. Otherwise, its an awesome shot, good background etc.

i disagree with the above comment. I think that BW is better than color, and sepia would make it look too old to me. Well done, i think you have an awesome photograph here.
  3. its a nice shot, good colours, framing and sky, but you need to slow the shutter speed down so that the prop has a litle blur to it. Otherwise it looks like he lost his engine... some shots you can get away without prop blur so that a sharp photo is guarenteed, but with the long props and the angle he is at in this shot, you need the blur.
