An amazing photo. The posing, your lighting techniques are dead on. The photo really pops out.

I hope you sell a lot of images because it's a masterpiece.

Hi Jennifer - I really enjoy viewing your wedding work. I didn't make a judgement call with this photo. It's beautiful. The natural surroundings. I'm wondering about cropping off the wrist. Was there a ring on her fingers? Can you re-crop this? It's a wonderful shot as it stands. Could it be better without cropping off the wrist?

As the others have said they like the shot! I do too, but my eye went directly to the shadow next to her nose. I'm sure you can mellow it down in photoshop.

Maybe thats the look you wanted. As artists we often find great points in a photo. Well you did well with this image!

Perfect pose! Finally - seeing an artistic pose The way portraits should be. A slight tilt of her head and her shoulders tilted the opposite with one shoulder higher on one side.

    Very well done.

The lighting is somewhat flat. Although I can't see too much of her eyes, they don't sparkle.

I like the look on her face a lot,, really well done!

I''d like to see a full shot, not cropped at the knees. Her hand look OK, just stiff, perhaps that was what you were looking for?

I like looking at photo's and rating them. I'm truely sorry for not posting more of my work for you. To be honest here I FEAR being ripped off; people copying my work. Hope this helps. Always feel free in emailing me and venting your frustrations. Feel free in asking why I rated something of yours very low or very high. Art is a judgement call. Thats all it is. Do we like it or perhaps we don't.

For example - There is a sail boat sailing in the ocean. On the beach there are 30 well paid National Geographic professional photographers. Some of them photograph just the sail, others photograph the whole boat, some use a wide angle lens and the boat becomes very small in relation to the ocean. Yet others may use a fish eye lens and make the ocean look like it's a circle with the boat looking as though it's falling off of the world.

Are all of these photos right or wrong? Are only some of them correct? It's art. We all see art differently.

One of my images had over 20,000 hits (views). People enjoying this one photo. Well I kind of freaked out and removed it. It's so easy for some jerk to copy a photo and call it their own. Even if I know who ripped me off the expenses of going to court will cost way more than my time and the money involved.

Anyway email me anytime and lets have fun getting to know each other. My very best Bob

  1. I sadly rated this a 4, although you got some very good ratings. I don't like the cut off hat. People often think this looks good and it's something new and different. It is! However it's too much. Another problem I feel is the rule of thirds. The photo isn't balanced. It is devided in or about the half mark, the head is the top half, the bottom is the lower half. From the shoulders down is pretty much useless. Your lighting is Excellent. The eyes really pop. I'd crop just under the chin. Then you have the 3rd's. The hat on top the eyes in the middle and the nose on down is the lower third. I would also soften the face just a little. Feel free in emailing me for more decussions. Maybe you can crop more and see how the .net people react.
