synesthesia Not the first but One of the pioneers of abstract art was Wassily Kandinsky. He literally saw colors when he heard music, and heard music when he painted. The story goes... a young Vasya opened his paint box and began mixing the reds, the yellows, the blues, he heard a strange sound—the swirling colors trilled like an orchestra tuning up for a symphony. What an interesting ability that would be.

👍 when you say test page are you talking about the supplied nozzle check test pattern or are you printing an image? I found that the pattern is not always sufficient for maintaining good ink flow. I created a small image of all colors and tones ( like a color wheel & bw tone bar). I use it every 1-3 weeks and it avoids power cleanings (which failed for me with past printers). It does not use much ink but does keep the flow better during periods of unuse. I also remove and shake the cardridges every month on my p900. I learned my lesson the hard and expensive way!… By letting past printers sit idle too long. Your client, friends work sounds very interesting I would be very interested in seeing it if she was inclined.

I often use music to feed and inspire my photography walks and rides. Robertson’s music was always a good fit for me. It got me wondering why… I did a search for Scorsese & Robertson soundtrack collaborations. https://www.cbc.ca/music/robbie-robertson-film-scores-martin-scorsese quite a list of projects together. The why may be for another time.

Hi Dan, without knowing the context and your work I would recommend paying attention to your inner voice and vision. A good critique for me involves an extended dialogue that evolves… the sort of back and forth not often found. For the reason I gave before I am drawn to and linger on your second image even without the theme.

The second image is more evocative of wanderlust for me. It allows me to empathize with my personal experience of wanderlust and move beyond the frame …. to see what is around the next corner.
