  1. Hi Guys,

Thanks for all of the responses....I thought of using bellows because I wanted to get better than 1:1 - how much better than 1:1 I'll need I am not sure.

I do think I'll get a couple of John Shaw's books for sure.

    Happy Holidays!

  2. I read the other posts on AI conversions and did some research on

    the web...

I bought a 45mm GN and also the correct conversion ring for it on

eBay...once the 5 screws are taken out from the back of teh lens and

the mount is removed...it looks like the aperture ring can slide

    off...

question...is there any complication to putting the converter ring

back on? especially with the 45mm GN which has the Guide number

    locking mechanism.

Would I be better off mailing the lens and ring to aiconverions.com?

    Thanks,

  3. Will the current crop of Digital Nikons...D50, D70s work with a

Bellows attatchment for extreme macro photography?

I know that metering and focus will all be manual...I just want to

know if the Camera will function at all using a Nikon Bellows...

And Which Bellows would be the best to use?

    Thanks in advance.

  4. OK...I may be confused...but here goes.

Is the real difference with US lenses and Grey Market lenses ONLY

    service during the warranty period?

After the warranty...grey market AND US lenses can be repaired

    stateside right?

    Thanks for the answers...

  5. One of the areas I plan on getting back into is Time exposures...

    regarding digital cameras and ISO...

    1) Would a lower ISO camera (like the D200 ISO 100 vs D70s ISO 200)

be more sensitive in metering time exposures?

    2) are these cameras sensitive enough to meter Time exposures at all

or should I just go get a Luna Pro and say the heck with it?

    Any help appreciated.

  6. I have been away from the hobby for several years...

How do the New Sigma lenses compare to Nikkor? I consider myself to

be semi-pro...having made a living with photography 20 years

ago...Will I be satisfied with Sigma having used Nikkor before?
