I haven't since it was required to accept the result when ordering with no apparent recourse.

I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the images in my Blurb book. The binding and construction quality is great but the images were all oversaturated and lacked sharpness.

Been playing with it off and on for a couple of days and have not had the browser problem (IE7).

I had some old Nikon lenses so I was considering a Nikon digital. But after taking them into a camera shop and discovering that the AF did not function, I then considered a new Canon system, which I ended up buying. But as stated above, if you are considering both systems, put your hands on each and try them out.

Costco gives the customer the option of not auto correcting the images. You can do this with online printing but if you are taking them into the store, ask about this option. I would also recommend downloading the color profile from Costco's website when processing your photos in Photoshop Elements.

The only photos that are displayed on this page are samples chosen randomly (with relatively high ratings), featured photos/portfolios, and editors picks. For recently rated photos you must go to the TRP (Top Rated Photos).

Try Papago Park. Hole-in-the-rock, Hunt's tomb, cactus.

Luca - That's why I stopped running. I was running alone and losing.

Seriously, the ratings system, and those that game it, should not be taken too seriously. But we do need a way to showcase good work and encourage good critiques. Josh and company say they are working on a new system, so let's hope for the best.

Same here. Also, TRP is not finding photos.

Getting the same sort of message in the TRP gallery. Are backups using this much server cpu?

It's art if I say it's art.

Everyone has potential. Observe, learn, read, listen, but most of all - shoot. Your photos show a willingness to experiment and look at your world from a different point of view. Don't lose that.

The process is for you. The image is for you and us.

It would be a kind and useful gesture to offer it to a beginner just starting out.

No worries. Take care of yourself.

Just bought the HP 20". Pretty good for $200.

Does your TV have a PC connection? If so, try that - I've had decent results with this connection on mine. I use Google screensaver to display a slideshow of my favorites.

I believe there is a minimum number of ratings (10?) on a given photo to make it into the calculated photographer's average. Any photos with less than this minimum will not be used in the calculation. But I am not too sure about any of this.

I think the U.S. should jsust invade Great Britain and settle this language problem once and for all. We could use the excuse that they have WMD's.

I tried this once. The card screamed, yelled "Pervert!", and reached up and slammed the door shut. Good thing I was alone.

I have the Velbon Ultra Luxi SF with the PH-353 ball head (this is now a discontinued item). Very lightweight (2.1 lb), cheap (latest price $80), extremely compact for packing, but is not going to withstand wind or any other source of vibration. I bought it mostly for travel purposes, but I'm also using it more routinely until I can purchase a more stable tripod for regular use. But for travel, backpack, or other uses where weight is an issue, I would consider the Velbon.

"You do realize most of us own and shoot multiple camera makes? Unless I just bumped my head, my inter vision remains the same whether composing with a Canon or Nikon VF."

Are you kidding? I think the majority of PN people use only one camera (or camera make) in a given period of time. Nothing to base this on except my own situation and a few observations of photographers I enjoy.
