Very well composed and processed shot. The lack of strong and varied colors emphasizes the beautiful texture. I do indeed like this photo.

I love shots like this that really make you try to figure out the subject. Beautiful, but have you considered either eliminating the black area in the upper left or expanding it, if possible, to give it more emphasis?

Nice composition and lighting. The combination of textures is very pleasing. The subdued colors help focus attention on texture. Sharpness is impressive. A close up crop showing detail of water drops and leaf texture would be interesting.

Nice composition and color. If possible, I would have opted for more of the wall to the left in the frame. Just a personal preference. Congrats on a great photo.

Beautiful and evoking image. The trees to the side help guide the viewer through the photo.

Would this be more effective with greater DOF?

Nope, no angle at all. Taken directly overhead. Initially it threw me off as well. My wife wanted to call it Geovomit.
