Very appealing image overall. But my eye wishes the steps were more horizontal to avoid the appearance of camera tilt. Good composition and exposure.

Good detail and perspective. I like the off center position. But my mind strives to see the remaining lower part of the passage. Was there a reason this was not included in your image?

Salvatore,
I did consider posting this upside down. I'm not really sure why I didn't since you are right about it being more interesting. An I really like your image. Thanks for the feedback. RW

I truly enjoy this image. It conveys a real sense of peace in nature. The ratings are way, way too low. I give it a 6/7.

Beautiful lighting and composition. Perhaps slightly more "headroom" would provide a little more balance, but this is just a trivial issue. The light and shadows with fantastic detail make this a wonderful image.

I attempted to capture the wave breaking on the rocks in the upper
left, but it seems to complicate the image. What do you think?

Love the framing and lighting. Great choice of subject. Improving the focus at the base of the seeds would be a slight improvement. Beautiful image in any case.

Wonderful and unusual abstract.

I love images like this. At first glance it appears to be a landscape, then you realize what it is. Great eye and composition.

I think I know what you were trying to accomplish with this exposure (a silhouette?), but it really doesn't work. If not, then the darkness of the turtle and rock are way too dark. Remember, this is just one person's opinion.
Keep shooting . . .

Nice overall composition. The slight curature in his path leads the viewer towards what looks like a small hill. Slight improvements could be made by cropping out the shadows(?) in the lower left, and deepening the contrast (it looks washed out or faded). This might also bring out more definition to the sky. Consider also trying to use the rule of thirds. Your horizon is smack in the middle.

My photographic interests do not usually involve animals, but this is one of the most amazing images I have seen on this website. No improvements seem possible. The image is not only technically beautiful, but the eyes and the pose are riveting. Congratulations!

Wonderful effect. What was your shutter speed on this shot?

Kathy - The sky was darkened slightly to help balance the image. I agree that the bright white in the foreground needs improvement. It was impossible at the time to take several images and overlay them to help bring out the detail in this area. I was shooting with my "point and shoot" and did not have my tripod with me. The lighting difference is due to the sun being full and behind me with a cloudy sky over the mountain. Thanks for your comments.

Is this an all too common type of image on PN? All
