Amazing color in the eyes ,amazing photo. I am being a hypocrite because I don't like monkeys but this is exceptional.

I'm going to ask a question I normally hate to hear asked. What lens did you use? I'm not asking in order to duplicate your style, but I'm amazed at the sharpness and clarity. Photoshop can help an image, but not like this. I'm assuming it's a telephoto with image stabilization. I'm normally a wide angle to 35mm shooter, but I would consider this lens. Nothing wrong to point out on this one. 7/7

Thanks for the comments. I used the Canon 100-400mm IS lens, at 400mm, 1/200, F5.6, ISO400.

This was a wild baby macaque at the Batu Caves in Kuala Lumpur (so no cage or glass to contend with). The bars in the eyes are actually the steps that lead up to the temple at the top.

Cheers,

Gav

There's something not right about this.Sure it is oversaturated which is no big deal but i think the hue is just too yellow..?
Abit of a shame it's slightly front focused-the ear and it's mothers fur are in focus ,not the eyes and face
Overall a stunning capture though! The reflections in the eyes are great!

And there's the customary 3/3 that I always seem to get ;0)

Thanks for the comments from everyone else :0)

PS - I didn't touch the colour balance or saturation on this one, just a touch of sharpening.
