I sort of agree about the color change but the more I look at it, the lighter skin draws my eye directly to the belly which is the main focus here. Her belly just hasn't been exposed to the sun as much as the rest of her body. Maybe I will try to brush a little color and see. Thanks for the critique.

it has nothing to do with your camera but with your lighting and settings. Those are not stripes they are the lines in the curtain. Light was hitting the curtain. If you move the subject farther away from the back ground so your lighting only falls on the subject, that should solve it. The specks are dust and lint that are on your backdrop. You can take care of that in PS. Hope this helps. Adorable baby and nice pic. I have one very similar in my portfolio.

J,By needle are you refering to the streaks of rain drops falling under the light? I did several of these images and I do have a cropped on with out the light but I also liked this full image with the post. Thank you for your comment.
