  1. On initial set up when starting your work flow to edit raw images in CS2... do

you look at all images and separate them into categories (separate files or

folders) and work each category according to there needs IE lets say you have

100 images and 25 are shot outside(overexposed) and 25 inside with yellow tint

    and 50 shot inside (underexposed).

The reason I am asking I shot a 4th of July event at my church yesterday and

shot in different areas of the church with my D200 this is the first time I

have used raw so please excuse the basic question.

I purchased the Bruce Fraser book but must be overlooking this step.

Thank you in advance for your help

  2. I am looking for a good source to have posters/prints made. Could some of you

let me know who you use and what are the most common size is you sale. Also I

noticed some printers advertise as posters and some as prints. Do you like

posters or prints best in the larger sizes? I presently use smugmug for small

prints with my customers and they do not offer posters but prints.

    Thanks Ernie

  3. I have a couple more questions for Clem C & Dan or anyone that wants to jump in - First thank you both for your responses they are both very helpful.

Clem C - Please explain the reason for metering on the sunlit area instead of the dark.

Dan - Would you use a hand held meter to get your settings or would you use the in-camera meter and then set it on manual and use these settng?

    Thanks for your time

  4. My question is concerning a situation I was in this past week...

It was mid morning and the sun was on half of the baseball field from about the

pitcher mound to the back stop was shaded and from pitcher mound to the out

    field was full sun.

I was taking pictures from about 3rd base in the shade... my question is when I

shoot out toward the sun (say 2nd base) my pictures where over exposed should I

be shooting in spot metering? any help will be appreciated I have a D200 so I

know the camera is capible but I am verly new

    Thanks Ernie

    enhance my pictures

    Thanks for your help

  9. Hi Mark

Thank you very much for taking the time and sharing with me some great information from your personal experiences and obvious success. I looked at your site and it was awesome.

I will print this information off and keep it for future reference.

  10. Thanks Steve for your quick response

I forgot to mention that I have a nice tripod... but I do not have a pocket wizzard (not sure what it is but I will check it out)

Please tell me a little about the function of the wizzard

I will be doing some things inside... for Children Basketball Leauges etc

With that in mind do you think I should obtain another SB800 or use the money toward some other type of lighting if so what lighting would you or someone suggest that would be suitable and hopefully in my budget range for this type of work.

    or positive concerning this field. I have a D70, SB800, (lens) 18-70,

sure on what lighting and any other equipmet I need.

  12. I agree with many on this forum that the SB800 is awesome... For me and my style the SB800 works great... I purchased a SB600 for a second unit a couple of weeks ago, but even though it is a great light it is not the SB800 I was able to return it after trying it out for about a week I have decided save up another $100 and go back and get the SB800.

  13. The reason I was ask is due to the diopter (viewfinder focus) on the D70 the adjustment range is -5m to +3m and and I notice I had to adjust my diopter all the way to +3 and still was having a hard time focusing I called my doctor and he said my eyes last checked at +1.3... so I was just wandering if anyone had used the corrective eye piece and if so what was the results

    Thanks Ernie

Note: I do know where to look and I will try to keep my finger out of my eye :)
