It seems nicely composed, but the colours seem washed out

I know a little about large format photography, but never practiced, so take this with a grain of salt. But a large format camera would have done this very well, it would allow you to keep the roof line straight, as the roof line here appears bowed, and unatural.

Love the tones, the composition, background, and the dance

Is the tall narrow format ok? Also, Is where the children positioned
all right? Thanks again, in advance.

This gets the very first 7 I've ever given on Photo.net. Fantastic stuff

This is my first time doing photography in the snow... and I'm still
not sure how. What can I do to get better pictures? Thanks for you
help and ideas.

Any comments about this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I agree with Janet (Oct 31) it is cute, and so appeals. The nose being out of focus shows the animal's proximity more, likewise the vignetting, I feel. The composition is great, and the 'earthy' look, and dirt on nose, gives it a genuine / authentic feel, rather than an aritifical set up and capture... making it more candid. I love it.

Any ideas how I could have done this differently? Composition?
Exposure length? I hope to do some more, but better, of course.

My first impression was 'BRILLIANT'! Then I realised that the pieces didn't seem to fit well. I know you needed something where the rainbow was, but a rainbow isn't called for, as there are no clouds nor rain. There is little shadow falling across the eastern hemisphere of the moon, despite the low angle of the sun in the lower part of the picture.
However, this is much better than what I can produce, so still, fantastic job.

I've experimented a bit with the contrast and colour balances. How
does it look to you? Thanks for your comments... in advance.
