I was trying something new, something I've never done before:
sunrises. Not only was the early morning start tough, but learning how
to do it, too. How is it? What do you like or not like about it?
-
I don't usually do 'studio', and I thought hard of a slightly
different concept, and this is mostly what I was looking for.

I don't often get close like this, so it's a kind of first. How does
it look?

Very interesting. I like it a lot

this was a part of a street re-enactment held every year in Nagoya
in September. For first timers visiting, by sheer weight of the
number of people gathered to see this, it's really difficult to get
a good view, let alone a good shot (no pun intended). I hope you've
found this interesting.

This is Nagoya festival. Each city in Japan has a festival where they
display their 'moving shrines', there are dances, historical displays
and traditionally it's a fun time. Nagoya, a major city, does it as a
display, whilst still relying mostly on volunteers to partake. It was
a difficult event to cover, so comments are appreciated.

Love it

I like both, colour and b&w. I know what you mean by there being too many hdr, and some are only nice being hdr, otherwise the composition isn't impressive. This is nice. I like the comp', but especially love the effect the clouds have had.

Lovely.

Really lucky finding a pelican like that. Unfortunately the boat in the background is a little distracting. I'd have taken a few steps to the left and get the boat motor out of the profile line of the bird's head. I'd have even deepened the dof, to almost totally blurred out the boats. It's a hard one. I'd be perfect if there was a setting sun and a sail boat far off in the background.

Very minimal was done, only composing four photographs into this one.
Any comments would be appreciated

Nice blue background, very clear. However, too much shadow on the flowers themselves.

This is how art ought to be done. Great dream.

Finally, a POW that presents vivid, unvarnished realism. Well done. <<<
I agree. I disagree with cropping out the meter boxes. However, to me it lacks colour, it appears a little flat. But all else is great. I was still wowed by it. Lucky shot

Love the tones, how the light falls, and shadows. But I agree that it could have been a little bit better with a slightly longer exposure to blur the water

Any comments or feedback would be appreciated, Andrew

Pretty darn good control of colour, contrast, tones and the rest, on the subject. But for me, the person in the back left is a little annoying, but I am being quite picky. Still, great job
