1.
Jim, Mukul, yes, this is a stalk pic...For that I don't like Winogrand so much. And it just happened to me when I was about to start the van...
It was too perfectly framed in the mirror, I just pushed the button.
Will try to put less legs in the next future;)

 2.
Hi all, nice and sound advice to be found here.
And, Spencer, as much as I appreciate your enthusiasm, please rethink/research that one:

I would only recommend getting one, because you can use the rest with a m39 to M adapter and a turret viewfinder (assuming your shoe isn't taken up already). In that case you may also want a rangefinder unless you're good as predicting distances.

Please get clear about what you are posting in order not to confuse future readers of this thread/forum. Thank you!

Best,

Knut

 3.
If it would be "massively benificial" for you, do it.
Otherwise, maybe learn to develop yourself to save money, browse another lab to do so, shoot less and more concentrated; and above all,
listen to Anthony. This somewhat special Leica combo feels like inherited, when I hear from you
that you are only 18. Maybe you should wait a bit with the decision, if you can afford.

IR filter in general are a good for improving the quality of black and white films (which are sensitive to IR)

Spencer, are you shure? The M8 (reason why these filters are somewhat common these days)
gives me constantly better people pics and detail in the shadows when convertet into BW without UV/IR. YMMV

 5.
Nice Barry! Thanks Allen! Great light, perspective control and of corps, piece of art of LB, Robin! Great use of 90º FOV, Allen! Rajmohan, I am awaiting an early uncoated Summitar, that looks promising! Thanks for living it up, Brad, well done! I like the guy with the dog tank! Jim T, where are you?

 6.
Mukul, a complete Leitz table tripod definitely accredditates you for more than only lurking around;)
You did use RF cameras for half a century, didn't you?

Please don't be so harsh with yourself, this is the second time you are ruling yourself out here AFAIK.
Might be your education and honestity or you would like to retire from this POW; but on this thread I think many people are posting a DSLR pic from time to time without blushing, and it's completely ok. Always appreciated your entries! Cheers, Knut

 7.
Lemay in the sky with diamonds...
