1.
I sure like the real sturgeon leather covering. Though shark skin with its micro-teeth has definitely more grip. It would stick to your woolen pullover like velcro. No strap needed anymore.

 2.
Thank you Jim, and I think it is miraculous that he hasn't fallen OUT! Six feet to the ground...He is an agile little fearless guy; but that's just too much, comparing my shot with WES'. I was always very intrigued by his work since I saw Albert Schweizer and, of course, Minamata.

 3.
Mukul, in 1991 I was in northern India for three months, Varanashi, Rishikesh, Langtang; and all I had was an M2 with 2.8 Summaron and an Elmar-C 90mm. Six rolls of K64 and six of Orwo BW 400. It was all that I needed. Today, I also make more frequent use of my 50mm lenses.

 4.
HCB also "cheated" in accomplishing his own "moment decisive" manifesto. Though I had quite pleasing results taking it literally, I was kind of offended when I saw a contact sheet wth 37 or so shots - one full roll of variations of the famous "Matisse with his doves", and he took his pic(k)... He was there, it was an exhibit in Barcelona around 2003. I was close to ask him about that incongruence, but there was one photo of his outlines, taken with the sun in his back. It was called something like "As long as I cast a shadow down here". I didn't try any approach to him out of respect.

Sorry, back to the thread:

Offroad: M2, 35mm Summicron V1; 21mm f4 SA

City: M6 classic 0.85, 35mm f1.2 Nokton, Zeiss ZM 25mm f2.8

PD I presume you are talking lenses we have,
otherwise it would be a little Santa Clausish:

MP sterling silver 0.92, green Galapagos lizard; Noct 0.95 titanium & 21 Lux Edwin Aldrin edition, bodyguard...

 5.
Thank you Bennett! There is absolutely no fix on the horizon. It is taken like that.

 6.
Good evening gentlemen, may I ask what means "B&W 6x6" in this context?

 7.
Jim, muy buenas, great shots as always, but I would be lost without your explanations on the log shot. The drive-Inn I have seen already somewhere?
Best,

Knut

 8.
Ray, I tried with no luck, but it was height over 700...

 9.
Richard G: Contemporary move of the Melbourne major, it seems to me: A campaign clearly inspired by grafitti art; which I presume is removed at high cost weekly from the trains...

 10.
It is "Always on" if it's on: Better explained, there is always torque on the gears of the camera.
It is designed like that.

 11.
Just digged out mine (SN 13507), inserted fresh batteries, put it on my M6 - and it clunks away,
sounds much like my first series M8!
All these early M-winders are rather rough, and given that there is no possible (electronic) communication between the camera and the motor, it is ALWAYS ON if you switch it on (You can proof this by switching it on unmounted, it will run until batteries are dead) and only the camera gears are stopping it by sheer force. For some reason Leica replaced smooth bronce camera gears with steel.
You can see and feel the impact on the camera because of the trembling advance lever and the shutter release button bouncing back after firing.
Mine has a big fat beauty brass screw with 3/4" tripod thread at the usual eccentric place, rather useless for mounting "big flash guns", but it is there.
All in all, it might be a dog: Simple, loyal, true and able to bite through. Barking a little too loud.

Best,

Knut

 12.
Jim, Mukul, these are flamenco dancers - local gypsies performing different styles of it, like sevillanas, rumba etc. There are actually three young women involved in this picture.
Robin, this looks very good. Some sparkling incident light, very well controlled DR, great color under mixed lighting, clean high ISO. May I ask if you used a Fuji -let's say X- in JPEG mode?

Cheers,

Knut

 13.
Great colors & contrast, Jim! The Guantánamo House is really scary. Great directional roller light!

 14.
Found the original bill with serial Nº of the Super Angulon a while back: 1715950.
Curiously, I bought it on january, 17 of 1994. Exactly 19 years before the theft. Maybe some Karma stuff is going on...

 15.
Jim, crossed typing! Weird dreams...I'lll hit the sack, it's early morning in Spain,
regards,

Knut

 16.
Jim, where's your pick this wick?! Did you check the last POW again? Ok, perfect.
Eddie, lovely! Apart from your subject (Your charming wife really supports your freakin' foto frenzy), I favor the cool/warm color contrast. And the boogie woogie bookieh, don't mention.

 17.
Charlie, your pic reminds me of fingerprints. It certainly has yours!

 18.
Just started a quick search and realized that "extreme hammocking" really exists...
Heads down pics are rather rare, though.

 19.
Johnny, no offence intended; I was talking about the skin colored unidentifiable object in the center, not the latch...
Never mind.
Jim, thanks for your appreciacion; and I'm happy to contribute a little about your photography education;) , he is actually my very own son.

Best,

Knut

 20.
Jim, great contemplation of nothing, and pyrogallol really rocks! I think you should post this also on the film&processing forum, as you might get some feedback over there on that one...
This DR of it is simply unsurpassed.
No, sorry, better you mount a show in a Beverly Hills gallery, rightaway. Seriously!
@ Geraldine's phone, you can also do Ralph Gibson. Handsdown. Awesome
Barry, no comment. Great light(ing).
Johnny, beautiful colors, but who forgot that strange sex toy over there?
Hugs to all who are keeping this great stuff up!

The far side...

 21.
Nice, Eddie! Great, Elmo S., and all!

Best, K
