  1. Hello,

Thank you for all the responses so far.

The stripe doesn't appear on the first exposure nor is it on a frame that would sit long adjacent to the hinge. I took several more frames shortly afterwards. So it doesn't look like a light leak to me. OTOH - today I went to the Canon service and they said the shutter is working fine. I left the camera there for CLA just to be sure but even the servicemen could not tell me exact cause of the problem.

  2. Hello,

am I correct in assuming that the vertical stripe on the attached photo is due to a shutter problem? It appears

only on one frame of the roll, which was exposed with my AE-1.

Also it doesn't seem to extend towards the eges of the film.

    Thank you

  3. Hello,

I acquired the afore mentioned teleconverter together with other equipment. I'm noticing a strange problem with

it. A noticeable dark strip (ie light loss) along the top of the frame. It becomes as I focus closer. At maximum

belows extension it is quite pronounced.

Anyone here is using this teleconverter.

    Thank you

  4. Foma still makes films I think you confused it with Forte which went out of bussiness. However in LF it makes only Fomapan 100. Fomapan 200 is available in 35mm and 120.
  5. I tried what you suggested and the lens is indeed broken. It doesn't step down at all. Shame, I discovered that after a day of shooting with it.

I don't know how it happened. It is not so long I was shooting with it without problems.

That is quite unfortunate as I probably won't find a serviceman that would fix it.

  6. <p>I'm really astonished by the Magnum's description of the "Prague spring" of 1968:

"Czech reforms that emphasized freedom of the press, <b>consumer goods</b>, and democracy."</p>

<p>It is probably very telling of todays sentiments but I don't think that consumer goods were that much on anybody's mind back then.</p>

  7. I think I like Ilford "Smooth Fine Art" paper. Not that I would have a very broad experience, but this very moment I compared it to Hahnemuhle "Photo Rag" and it has better dmax. At least that what came out from my Epson 2400, using company supplied ICC profiles.

Otherwise my favourite paper is Hahnemuhle "Fine Art Pearl", but Ilford's "Smooth Pearl" is also a good choice - and is cheaper.

  8. Hmm, it worked that way for some time. Then, don't know what I did, it "locked" - could not suddenly cock the shutter or fire the shutter even in emergency mode and the red indicator was on.

Then, after me fidling randomly and hopelessly with all the controls, it started to work again.

I red the manual I thought I undestood it. But here I had no idea what was going on.

Anyway, with the holder the red light is on whenever I try to fire the shutter. No matter whether the dark slide is inserted or not.

  9. Hello,

I purchased used Mamiya rz76 equipment. My problem is that I can't fire the

shutter. The red light indicator is on as if the dark slide was inserted even

though it is removed. The shutter will fire in the emergency mode.

I presume that the fault is in the holder?

    Thank you,

    Jiri
