The blackness of the river under the goldness of the foliage is a good contrast that accentuates the spatial illusion of the river as it travels through the hills. Nice image. Also, I'm just a sucker for leaves turning in the fall. Thank you for the lovely photo.

The color version provides my interpretation of the image to be far more 3-D with greater added depth. What caught my eye was my 80's surf site before the ethic got crazy down there. Then, the misty clouds on the Marin headlands. I like concrete and shore shots -- the best of both in one. Nice surreal juxtaposition and framing with the white caps at the top of the barrier.

I believe I would enjoy this better without the heavy black and green frame that takes away from the subtle highlights on the porcelain dish capturing the natural green of the apple. Nice photo, thank you.
