Nice one! For me the white car is the icing on the cake, it connects both halfs of the picture for me, great!
-
And I thought those suits only excisted in the movies!

Interesting serie Jack. It again shows how you are the master in finding pictures in places most of us wouldn't even look. You serve us with 40 snippets of your where you live without giving us any real idea of what your neighbourhood actually looks like on a bigger scale.
-
David, you don't sound ungrateful and defensive at all! Of course you intended it this way otherwise you wouldn't have taken it and posted it like this and you shouldn't change a thing on my account. I'm just glad you post pictures and give us a change to view them and share our thoughts on them. So thanks again!

I like it David, but... I feel you failed to make a real choice here. If you tilted the camera down to show more concrete and less sky there would be a story about mankind paving the world. I you tilted the camera up there would be a story about mankinds tinyness under those big skies.

Wonderful picture David! Thing I like most is the great sense of depth created in this picture (and which is mostly thrown out in Chucks crop). Also the even light and the subject matter speak volumes to me. Thank you for posting it.

Aah yes, light and shadow, that's what photography is all about!

LOVE this one Jack. Perfectly timed and superbly framed. I would hang this one on my wall!

Doug, as always, the portraits of the people in your community are interesting and give us a glimpse into your world. I really appreciate the way you seem to accept people from all walk of life without without prejudice or judgement. Thanks!

Brrrr, if I was superstitious I would be throwing garlic at my screen right now! Your experimentation with DOF makes for an excellent shot here Jack!
-
I'm not sure what John is saying either, but I do agree wholeheartedly with him. And I like the picture too!
-
Can't resist those S-curves, wonderful!
-
This one reminds me of Cartier-Bressons famous picture... perfect timing. I like it best this way up. Regards, Nick

Hehe, this dude matches his haircolor with the sole of his shoes. Excellent portrait Doug!

I might be repeating some earlier comments, but I'll say it anyway. The subtle shadow works wonders with the texture of the street still clearly visible. It also matches the tones in the upper part of the picture. Great job keeping just enough detail in those parts where this ghosts friends lurk. I could see this one hanging in my home, that's how much I like it!

This is a fantastic picture Mike. Seeing things like this I realize how I miss the rough edges and grain in so much of the blinking, clean, smooth, uniform and boring digital pictures on sites like PN (mine included). I'm gonna check Ebay right now to see if I can get that Rolleiflex I've been thinking about...

Nice one Doug. Interesting character and I like how you framed him.

It just doesn't get much better then this. Wonderful!

What A.K. said! The contrasting colors between the numeral and the other signs strengthen this. WOnderful light, tones and color, beautiful Jack, it seems the muse is back!?

Hi Jack, this is good, his shadow still with us while he is already halfway into the next frame... I also like how the man, his shadow and the shadow of the plant form a circle that keeps the eye going round and round.
-
Really excellent shot in every way. Tri-X really shines for this type of picture. Hats of to you Viktor!

Did you just pull a McRitchie on us...? Look forward to seeing you back and in the meantime, be well Jack!
