Indiana Jones has been here. I never saw him so I took the picture

anyway. Any comments are most appreciated as we are all trying to

    get better.

    Best wishes,

Best viewed larger. I am trying to convert to b & w and all my

pictures look fine on screen but really dark on printing. It's

doing my head in. Hope this is okay?

    Many thanks,

PS This picture looked rubbish in colour.

Wadi Rum is in the Jordan (Sinai desert) though I fell it's what Mars must be like!

Definitely worth a trip and Petra is only up the road as well.

Best wishes and many thanks for stopping by.

Yes it was taken at about 3pm as I only had a day there. The sunset over Wadi Rum is something spectacular with the colours changing from minute to minute. If I went again I'd stay overnight and would suggest that 2 days is a must in the desert. Jordan is absolutely a safe place to go, stay in the Movenpick hotel in Aqaba (5 star and cheap) and get a tour to the desert (40 min drive) by the bedouin. Petra is only 1.5 hours away as well, this even more so needs an overnight stay. I am no chance-taking lunatic and wouldn't have gone if it wasn't safe. The Jordanians are great people, more European than Arab, and very friendly.

    Best wishes,

Wadi Rum, Jordan. The place where TE Lawrence (of Arabia) 'holed'

up during the winter of 1916. The film was shot here.

PS Lawrence of Arabia was actually Welsh not English as most

    Jordanians believe.

Any comments most welcome. I'm still learning and don't mind you

being too harsh on my latest ham-fisted attempts at landscapes.

    It's best viewed larger.

    Many thanks

    Back in the USSR!

(actually from Barnett in North London but he could pass for old

Soviet union me thinks). I like the tongue hanging out, the sitter

    doesn't.

    Comments most welcome.
