I agree, this was actually a light test shot, and the rest of the series I didn't like as much, so I went with the missing foot.  Luckily I can reshoot easy enough. Thanks for stopping by!

2 Speedlights, one camera left 45degrees off center, aiming down at

45degrees. The second is cameral right, 45 degrees, aiming up at 45

degrees. Thoughts? This is my first attempt at a 2 speedlight setup.

  1. I always ask myself "What's the subject?" - what is this a photograph of? Is it of a naked lady, is it shadows, is it a boob?

i find the hard light on her arm/ elbow to be distracting, combined with the fact that the photo has a lot of noise.  I'd guess the subject is "boob" - but if that's the case, I'd prefer it to appear more prominently in the frame, and in better focus.

A for effort, but I'm afraid I'd send this back as a re-do.

    Thanks Jerry!

I really appreciate you taking the opportunity to offer your eyes.  I've added a couple others that I think tell the story you are looking for.  As the photographer it is hard to look at it the same way an independent reviewer does.  Thanks again!

Otto, thanks for the comments.  Feel free to d/l the hi res and crop as you explained, and re-post, I'd be curious to see your vision.  This is a 2x3 crop, and likely a 4x5 crop I'd lose equal distance on both sides.  That is until I see what your eyes see..

Thanks Stephen - I have enlisted the help of a ReTouch artist.  I'm sending him some of my work to have him retouch them so that I can see what my eyes are not capable of seeing beforehand.  I struggle with Skin Tones and WB, so seeing the finished product by someone who clearly understand them better is helpful to me learning to see and master these issues down the road.  I appreciate the comments.
