Nour,
I chose to rate this picture instead of the POW because of my deep convictions that photography is about taking pictures not making pictures in PS (not that is anything wrong with creating art in PS). But that's just me; and I do appreciate a good picture when I see one. I give you credit for the "Morrocan child" one of the best portraits in PN: 7/7

It seams I'm not the only one thinking that photography is taking pictures rather than composing images in PS. More so when you call it travel photography; why not combining a picture from Egypt with one from Siberia? what fun that would be (on a childish level)...
Nour, you have some good portraits in your gallery so I will probably rate one of those instead of the POW.

Outstanding! I have nothing to say other than I wish I would have taken this... 7/7

Chris, where I live I've seen this kind of light not more than once or twice a year. to have the camera ready and take a good shot is all you can ask. I love the light, composition and texture. It's magical. Congrats, 7/6

Mihaela,
thanks for visiting and appreciating my work. I consider this your best shot. If this is your first portrait, you have the eye for it. Very good composition, texture and light. Felicitari,

Eduardo, you found the right moment to take the shoot and composed it very well. that is what photo journalism is all about. I like the story in your image, well done 6/6

you choose the right angle and used the light to tell the story. great accomplishment. the kid in motion with a long shadow adds to your composition. nice texture on the ground. all together 7/6

it's the light, light, light that can turn a not-so-special subject into magic. how to capture that light in that particular moment, well this is Asier's magic and I love it. Excellent capture. 7/7

Riots in post-comunist Bucharest 1991. I inteded to shoot people and
capture some dramatic expressions in the midst of the riots. Check
this men's face ... Please comment and rate. Cheers,

As few of you already mentioned we are in fact asked to make judgment on a borderline visual representation. I have a problem with painting over a picture. I have to admit the artist managed to create a very interesting piece of art but it seams like we took all the good pictures one can take and now what is left is to start painting over b/w for a change. As far as I'm concerned I still love traditional photography, I still think there is a wealth of knowledge and beauty to be discovered.
