1. I love to use camera's with lenses from all kind of brands, and since i use both Nikon and Sony, i ordered the Techart Pro TZE-01 adapter approx 3 weeks ago. The transit time from Hong Kong to the Netherlands was approx 5 days. The order was placed before the products was released for sales. Last monday the adapter was delivered by mail, and yesterday i could test the adapter on Nikon Z7 with Sony FE 12-24 lens. In short, i am very happy with it. It has tiny button for lens release, and a tiny button on the lens cap to release the adapter, but when used with care, i am convinced i can be very happy with the adapter for a long time. The image i took was just a test shot from some buildings with pavement and cars in front. The quality of the sharpness is equal when compared between A7RIII and Z7. Since there are license plates of the cars visible i do not share the picture on this forum because of privacy. Now with some adaptation, i can also use Contax C/Y , Olympus and Hasselblad lenses on my Z7. It will be fun to use these lenses on the Z7.
2. I 100% agree with you, and i noticed that many people wrote their opinion not out of own experience. I do own some high quality lenses, and neverhad bad experience with the 16-70. I tend to use it with an A6500.
3. taking in consideration you stated max = 6x6, but thinking out of the box i would look at a Mamiya 7, multiple focal lengths available, and nice lightweight camera. I am big fan of Hasselblad and Pentax 6x7,but Mamiya 7 could be an alternative to think of. Best greetings.
4. Many thanks Ed-Ingold, i think i already own a device that can be used for the purpose. You've helped me a lot.
5. Ed, what type of connector is on your radio trigger ? Are these specific for the Sony flash connector on the camera, or are you using something like a nikon shoe ? Many thanks for your response.
6. What type of infrared trigger do people here use with their Sony A7R /A7RII for studio strobes / flash units? I am looking for the most simpel model, and will adjust the strobes manual. Thanks in advance for responses.
7. Yes Mike , very similar. Please please please use the correct size screw driver, and do not over tighten the screws. Be very gentle with the wires.
8. Several years ago i have done the conversion myself, i own both the 85PC as wel as 85 PC-E. In my case no new cables were required, just good tools and 5 minutes work. I unscrewed the four screws with the correct tool of the 85PC-E, the cables were wrapped together with a piece of paper sticky tape.. I very carefully removed the paper tape, then the cables were long enough, gently rotated the base, and re-assembled the base of the lens. All in all i spent maybe 5 minutes. For me was quite a simpel job. After several years the lens is still working perfectly. Maybe someone can create a youtube video of this.
9. i would suggest to also try to get a 200mm for the Pentax 6x7 if you are seriously interested in portraits. THe 105 will not be enough focal length for portraits. It has comparable angle of view with 50mm lens for 35mm camera. I still have a Pentax 67 II with all lenses upto 300mm .... Should start to use this beast again for black and white.
10. Hello, as a long time owner of the P67 II, including all glass upto 300mm, my advice would be to buy a Hasselblad 501CM with a 80 or 100mm lens. The P67 needs servicing more than a Hasselblad, and the transport mechanism is more fragile. A501CM can also operate without a battery in case necessary. I am also the owner of a Mamiya RZ67 as well as Hasselblad equipment, so i think i know the subject more or less from own experience. THese days my analog equipment does not get so much use anymore unfortunately, and i am looking at diy projects only to do a conversion of the Mamiya RZ to a digital version. Any questions on P67, do not hesitate to ask. Please be aware that the chain mechanism for the lightmeter in the viewfinder is very fragile. If the mirror is locked up, and transport blocked, there is a procedure you must follow after replacement of the battery. But .... in conclusion, i have made some very nice pictures with the P67 in the past :-)
11. On the web there are several unanswered question related to remote control for Sony DSC RX100 in HFR mode. I was involved in creation of a movie from an explosion. My method included a laptop, and a Atomos recorder for viewing the RX100 V screen from a safe place. On the web there is an older camera remote application for Mac and Windows that can be used to activate the record button. I did setup the camera to start the recording from the buffer backwards. So the last 4 seconds in the buffer are written to the SD Card from memory when the record button is pressed. I pressed the record button from the Camera Remote Application on the laptop. The camera was connected to the laptop with a USB cable on one side, and the USB-C connector on the other side. It might look a bit complicated, but i could not find remote controllers that would allow me to do this. Being able to see the camera user interface live is very important to ensure the camera is buffering the images before the action takes place. instead of the Atomos device you can also connect another display via HDMI, i used what was available. I hope the above helps people that want to trigger the RX100 in HFR mode with a remote solution.
12. Question : Has anyone tried 256GB CF cards in the H4D31 with latest firmware ? I have done the updated, and 64GB is working perfect. The firmware details says max 128GB UDMA7, but in my opinion with UDMA7 there is no techical constraint that would not allow 256GB cards. I was wondering if anyone has done the experiment yet before i buy a card for testing ....
13. What happens when you cock the shutter of the lens with the lever ? It is normal that you have to manually cock the lever of the lens after each picture with C or CF lenses
14. Picture made with the D850, it is amazing what the camera does .....
15. Could it be that softness of one lense compared to the other at same F-stop make it looks brighter ?
16. Today, May 28th 2017 Tom Dumoulin has won the 100st edition of the Giro D'Italia. Picture was taken in 2016, while Tom was leading the Giro.

19. Hello firends at the Nikon Forum, In the past i had a Nikon Coolpix 990, and 4 lenses that belonged to this camera. I am a huge fan of trying mixed combinations of lenses and camera's, Afteri obtained the Gopro Hero 5 , something has been in whispering in my brain, that i should try the nikon lenses mentioned in the subject title of this message on the Hero 5 black. To be able to do this, i need to buy a lens protective cover from Gopro, and fit the screw thread part from a defective coolpix 990 in the protective cover of the Gopro Hero 5 black. I was wondering if anyone here has already experimented with this, and what the results where ....... Since i also got a defective Coolpix 995, i have decided to disassemble the 995, and try to mount the lens mount in a Gopro lens protective cover. On youtube i found a movuew of a 950 disassembly that was very helpful. Why would i do this ? Just for the sake of fun, and see if this would be a usable combination of Nikon glas on a Hero 5. From physical point of view it may not be so difficult to fit the 2 parts together. And someone needs to be the first one to try this, and maybe or maybe not fail :-) I am really interested to read serious comments or feedback. Once it works, i may post some images in a few weeks .....
20.
The small rattle is normal, it also happens in the CS version of the 165 4.0 lens

21.
David,
the finder of the F4 is removable, maybe you can try to clean the contact of the hotshoe, as well as the contacts between the finder and the camera body itself .... this may do the trick.

22.
Eric Arnold, i do have a full production unit now.
When bought it was equipped with firmware version 2.
With the help of a youtube video i did the upgrade with firmware version 4.
It is required to mount a Nikon AF lens on the adapter during firmware upgrade, i used a 50mm 1.4 AF-S.
The first lenses i have tried are working smooth and ok.
Now i need to start testing which lenses are working and which do not.
I am very curious to check in the coming days my fish eye lenses ...
In case of any questions just let me know.
