Hey, nice, perspective is correct, mood is very good! Maybe it would have been better some more light on the musician, but these are details ...

I understand why the background distracts, but like that I consider it to be a nice-interesting photo, and this is due to background and wide-format. The same photo on a black background I would never look at it. Even if it would be "technically better" the originality would go to zero....

I like it a lot as a photo, moment. But why this post-processing (oversharpened)? I do not think it helps the photo, the woman seems pasted there.
  1. strange photos, sweet. I do not care about the small distractions of remotes etc. Miss C and E are strong enough to hold the attention. Grain also gives rather than takes to the quality of the photo. I would like to see a photo where miss E. is looking to the same direction with miss. C. There are some reflections in the glass behind them that maybe are or could become interesting. I prefer the colour ones to the b&w ones.

I think that you are right, it gives better the colour combination this way, something like a street abstract. I have thought to crop it as well, not so much about the windows but more for the wire, but for some reason I did not do it. I am starting to avoid croping with the hope that this will make me more careful when shooting...

    thanks for your comment

Very nice capture. I like colours a lot on this photo, seems almost staged, seems a little bit more sharpened than I would like (not sure). Congratulations

I like a lot this potrait, the eyes are amazing. I agree that maybe it is a little more posed than it should be. But I do not agree that there is absence of music. I do not think that music exists only when the person playing is oblivious to his environment. I like tha hand that it is out of focus and for me is a very important element of the picture. Also i prefer the strands of hair on her face.
  2. an amazing image, I just saw it and it is really amazing. Strong yet sensitive, long time that I have seen something that good in photo.net. The title of the image also has a dark bitter humour that as I see a lot of people in the thread do not understand and think is insulting. I disagree and I think that the title is appropriate. I think that it is safe to assume that the photgrapher knew what he was doing except if someone has evidence of the contrary. This is not a court, this is a photography site and the thread goes into an attack assuming possible situations (we can open a detective's forum for that). The photographer, and correctly to my opinion, has not answered because he did not ask us our opinion about medical ethics. We have to assume that she covered this aspect. Photography is made from telling how the world works and this means usually strong images and telling bitter stories to my opinion. Also i think that it does not help when discussing to critique images to state where we come from and which country we live in, also making comparisons that degrade other nations (I do not see what it has to do with the image, framing, lighting etc.). I hope that the person in the photograph is well.
  3. It is a nice moment captured and congratulations for that. The light though does not help the image at all..... I do not blame the photographer... he cannot do anything for that. I can understand why Greg S prefers the other photo of the jackal.
