David, I know this is a church, but it looks like it could be a boat
as well. In any case, nice catch -- you've done a nice job with

David, the bridge no longer carries rail traffic, but it is part of the Norwottuck rail trail, which sees substantial bicycle and foot traffic now. A
personal footnote: my grandfather, who lived in
Northampton, was an engineer on the Boston & Maine
Railroad, and drove steam trains across this
bridge in the 1920s and '30s. The bridge crosses
an island in the middle of the Connecticut River,
hence the encroaching trees.

When I first saw this picture, it drew me in. I used to live near Hacklebarney on the Black River, and this captures it perfectly. Nice work.
