One of the gravest dangers in wreck diving is getting caught up in something that will
entrap you. While you try to free yourself your air supply drops rapidly. A situation like
that can very quickly escalate into panic which, in itself, causes you to breathe even harder
and eliminates any rational thinking. A vicious cycle begins that often ends in death. The
noose of the rope floating freely and the diver looking up seemed to me to symbolize the
lure and beckoning of the deep, waiting for someone to descend and be entrapped by it.

The Yolanda was found in June 2005 at a depth of 148m.

You apparently reach heights that most of us never will. Thanks for sharing. The B/W is great!

I don't like the colour desaturation of the wall on the left, but excellent composition.

Obviously the remains of some fortunate animal that has the priviledge of being used as bait, however I don't know what it is, to be exact. I think they're big chunks of tuna.

Perhaps, but sometimes you still get the satisfaction of having gotten the shot, even if numerous people have done the same before. For me the experience was new. The action is extremely fast and it wasn't easy to get the shot. I suggest you follow your own advice and stop photographing fish. Your work is exquisite, but there's nothing we haven't seen before.

Excellent colours. Perhaps I would have cropped a little to move the subject a little more off centre.
-
I would have preferred a more distant approach to get more of the context, or an even closer cropping of the eye filling the entire frame.
-
Lovely colours and a very crisp image.

Janet, if you go inside the aquarium there won't be any reflection at all and you'll be able to get much closer. It's quite a different experience than looking in from the outside.
-
Excellent details and eerie atmosphere in such a tightly cropped shot.

I have not seen your colour version but this one in B/W works very well. I gather the contrasts come out better in B/W.
-
Excellent shot.

Although it may look like this guy is either going for an underwater headstand, or that his
head is stuck, he is actually looking down a hole trying to figure out what's on the deck
below, on this technical wreck dive to the "Dovra", a ship that sank off the coast of Haifa.
