  1. Is is possible to use a minolta X2 asph doubler, preferably the latest model on

a Maxxum 100 2.8 macro lens. this lens is not listed on the lenses that are

compatible with a maxxum (sony) doubler. Is this because the lens in the rear

protrouds too far, or is it for another reason, or it is not listed because the

doubler in not generally used with a lens of this focal length? thanks for your

    answer.

  2. Hi Tom. Yes, 1,300 is way too much for a user in good shape. I paid 850 for mine a few years ago in excellent plus shape. If you shop carefully, you can get one for less. In the pre asph, there are a few versions. later version focused to. .7 meter. Older, the one I have goes to 1 meter. That one you can get for less. It has a detatchable hood. The newer has a built in. I like the older version. It is a beautiful lens with gorgeous bokah, and very sharp stopped down a little. You can also advertise on this site that you are looking for one. cheers, elijah
  3. Emir, the stories that you have heard about leica usa are just thatstories. I have only had the best experience with them. There will always be someone who is never satisfied no matter how good the service is. They are courteous, fast and do excellent work. Why would they do otherwise? Think about it.
  4. Bill, thank you for your reply.

Terrence, I did not use the word dealer in the ways that you stated. Perhaps this is how you care to use the word. Mr. Kuehl dealed very fairly for many years in the leica community. If you never had the opportunity to experience his fair dealings, then you have missed something.

  5. I have not been able to get ahold of Jim Kuehl for a few weeks now.

And now there is no answering message on his number. It only rings.

Does anyone know what is going on and is he okay. He is a real

gentleman, and my favorite Leica dealer for used goods. thanks,

    regards, elijah
