1.
Hi Roland, some great pics. Don't let some of the folks here bother you too much. It is far more important what you believe about your experience than what some others are trying to tell you about it. Sounds like it took some nerve to do what you did. I wonder if they could have done the same. Either way, congratulations on some fine picture taking. And stay out of the way of live fire. regards to you.

 2.
All of the sony lenses will fit on all minolta maxxum cameras. It is the same mount. I have the 50 1.4 in a minolta mount. If you purchase it used you will save some money. Just be sure that you do purchase it with a 55mm filter size as the formula changed when it went from 49mm to 55mm. Otherwise, you are paying top dollar for what you can get for less money. I used mine when I had a maxxum 7. A great slr. Hope that is helpful.

 3.
Thank you all for your response. I think that I will be trying this soon on perhaps the R 50 summilux. I am soon selling off all of my Leica M gear as two systems are one to many to keep around. However, some of the Leica glass is just beautiful. But then so is the G series of Minolta glass that I have had for years. I do find the 50 1.4 lacking in lovely background focus like the leica summilux 50. So this would enable me to have the best of both worlds. thanks again, elijah

 4.
I have had the sony/minolta and the sigma. I found the sigma bokah harsh and not as pleasing as the minolta. The color on the minolta is also more pleasing to me, and also feels like a better made lens. I sold the sigma some time ago. It was very sharp stopped down otherwise. There are a lot of used minolta out there for a good price. All the minolta and sony are the same optical formula, so it really does not matter which one you get if glass is all that you are looking for. Otherwise there are differences in features such as focus hold buttons, D flash use etc. Hope this is helpful, regards, elijah

 5.
As a new person to this site, Harry, I hope you realize that not everyone is a rude wise guy like your first answer. There are some very nice people who will hopefully answer your question politely. Sorry I don't have an answer. Just wanted to let you know not everyone is like that. Hang in there, and someone will more than likely have something to help you with.

 6.
I once had this exact set up. It will not work with adi. I had two adapters for it. One for leica m. I still have the minolta adapter. If you need one, you can have it at a very good price. Otherwise, I got wonderful results with it. HHS is excellent. I also have the minolta adapter booklet . Let me know. cheers, elijah
