the photos came out right on. This was a black courner of a bar and the band was dressed in balck also. The owner said he tried two other Wedding Photographer and was not happy with the results. Everyone in the band and the bar owner bought my work.
Hi Ralf, I had one in the '60's and I shoot a few basketball games with it for a small newspaper in Michigan.. That's back when tri-x was rated
160 asa and we would buy 100ft rolls and spool our own. the camera worked good in cold weather too. I think after 7or8 100ft rolls , I just replaced it with a new SLR. have a nice day

I once said and it has been repeated several times in several places.
your sharpest lens is a tripod. use it and enjoy sharp photos.
-
someone once said" the sharpest lens is a tripod". for years I used a 4x5press with a strobe , today with 35 or digital, I use a monopod to help steady the camera. Here is a test you can do. take a photo hand-heald and one (same exp.) on a tripod try this for landscape fall colors. you will see the differance .
have a nice day.

I bought one 12 years ago, I use it along with a sunpack 622 to shoot friday night football here in Sparta, works well, and sure beats my old 4x5 that I used for years...
-
I used a handle the mounted on the left side, this helped me steady the camera so much I wouldn't shoot with out it.

Hi Brandan,
I have used both cameras, I like the Mamiya because of there is no light leaks with this system as bellows of the old press type cameras get as they age.
also Mine was very sharp..f2.8 100mm lens. real good for night high school football.

thanks all for your help

Hi All,Does anybody know what external flash will work on this
camera. I want to move the flash off the camera and not use the
little one that is built in.
thanks in advance

HI Thierry,
I look at your profile and your work is good enough for you to try
this film dev.
A: 750cc h2o add 5grams of Metol and 100 grams of sodium sulphite
add h2o to get 1000 cc
B: 750cc h20 add 6grams of sodium sulphite and 15 grams of sodium carbonate h2o to 1000cc
C: 750 cc of h20 add 10 grans of borax and h2o to get 1000cc
five mins in "a" then three mins in "B" or "C"
I use three dev tanks(plus one for stop bath and one for fix)
use a&b for low light and a&c for flash.
have fun

HI there,
I like to park my van close to a corner that overlooks a teenage hangout. most of the time I use 35mm rangefinder (m-3)with b&w because I shoot in low light..I am testing a new digital. I like to scout for new locations, as they say "just do it"

Can one learn anything about themselves from their own photographs?
in The History & Philosophy of Photography

HI All,
Yes we can learn about about someone by the photos they take.
if you photograph fish then you like to go fishing
if you photograph landscape, you like the outdoors
if you photograph nude women then you like nude women.
if you photograph street people then you like to read books alot
