the pole through the middle just ruins what is pretty good shot. Shooting during the day at gigs is so hard to get atmosphere but this is a great attempt working with what you had to shoot
-
i love the lighting here and the shooting position between the monitors. And the look on his face just makes the shot.
-
i love the reflection of the face but it needs to be a bit brighter without making the rest of the shot brighter. Maybe from a higher angle to see more of the double bass too. Great idea but needs a bit more experimenting with angles and light

i'd crop the guitarist on the left, otherwise great shot
-
great composition. On;y niggle is the smokey muddy grey colour in the foreground . Maybe pump up the saturation and maybe a touch more contrast in photoshop.
-
i'd crop the top and bottom. pity you can't see his face more clearly
-
a great concert photo. lighting is just right and i love the way he's playing with the mic, just ads a great dynamic to what often can be a very static type of shot
-
a great example of how panoramic pictures should be used. the foreground grass with artists cans etc makes it that bit more interesting than the standard grafeeti art shots. only slight niggle is the crack in the wall on the far right. might look better if the crack was photoshopped
-
a step to the left would have meant me climbing the barrier into the moshpit ;-)
-
great idea. looks a little graint IMHO. at first i thought it was a cross section of a tree not anything like a buildings roof. have you tried any other crops of it as it might also work if you took some of the top and bottom off and made it more panoramic
-
a really interesting composition. I love the colours. Maybe you could have played with the light on the sand a little to highlight the texture. I'd also want to move the qumquat? the small orange fruit over to the right just a very small ammount but just enough to give it some space between it and the bottle
-
also have a colour version, i'm not sure which shot i prefer but
give me your thoughts :-)
-
It's not a bad photo but there's nothing that someone who doesn't know the band would find that interesting about it. Maybe crop the top slightly. If you're using film at concerts, 1600 is really the workable limit I've found. I rarely get to use above f2.8 or whatever the minimum is on whatever lens I'm using. shutter speed of 15 is impressive as there's not much sign of blurring but 1/60th or above is preferable really to catch any movement

shame the focus isn't perfect on all the chicks but great shot and the water ripples are just perfect background for the image
-
great shot, it reminds me of a concentration camp photo with that really dark sombre looking sky and the row of people behind the fence. great atmosphere in this photos
-
i'd crop a little bit off the top & bottom. it's a shame that her arm is blending into the colour of the keyboard cos otherwise it's a good shot of normally not the most interesting of band members, the keyboard players
-
cropped a little too tight on the bottom edge. would like to see at least all of his right hand

no, get a f1.4 lens
good shot but too tight a crop on the singers head and just too grainy overall really. Concert photos are a very technical photo skill I've found and you're always shooting at the limits of your equipments abilities but the idea here was good. Any other shots from the same gig to show?
-
it's just too dark really. i've never used less than 800iso and 95% will use 1600 or 3200 for gigs.

i think this would be better if it wasn't so centreed but great capture. maybe straighten the horizon though.

Singer from Dublin band, The Beautiful Losers.
only edit was converting from colour to B&W and tweaking the contrast
If you do leave a rating, a comment on why though gave it waht you
did would be appreciated
