Love the silhouette, although I'd get rid of that small bright streak on the left-hand rock and maybe use a polarizer on the sky (if you didn't already.) Still, a very nice shot, simple and powerful. I like it. -
Thanks, Maria. Sorry it took so long to respond (only two months, my apologies!). I simply bought a white rose and put some blue dye in the water and let it sit for a couple of days. The rose petals sucked up the dye and came out spotted! I couldn't resist making an image of it. By the way, the blue light behind the subject was simply light coming in from my kitchen window vertical blinds that I turned to get the angle right, and the background is just a 59-cent piece of blue cardboard from Wal-Mart. :)

I like the composition. A polarizer would have helped that sky, or just a little underexposure. Other than that, I like it. -

Nice shot ... but it *almost* looks like the water is *behind* the subject. Must be a trick of the light ... :) -
Really like the starkness of the image. THe lights lead me right through the frame without detracting from the subject. Very nice. -
