What is in the background? I think it would be cool to burn that in to give more contrast. The story is great however. The outfit and expression and angle are perfect. ...;)....J

The one thing missing for me is the connection between the man on the left and children in the center of the vortex. The seperation is quite sad. We go around and 'round in life and the man is occupied with the end of life comming just a few rows away...or maybe longing for the abyss...
Your friend in Texas...J

Thank you for your comments. And yes, that is rather the idea here. This is one of my many studies in Complex Compositions and it was actually shot with all these elements in mind. I almost missed the woman in orange in the background center~left. While I could have captured any one of these elements individually I would have missed the others and sadly, the context. Sometimes we as viewers miss the trees for the forest. Thank you again Terry...;)...J

Not a big fan Of the usual poses however this image certainly has it's redeeming features: the yellow flowers the bride is holding brings me straight to her, which it must do because the background is very interesting.
Good one I think...;)...J

-- MUMTAZ GURAN ,Thank you.
Selective color on facial tones then Distort>DIffused Glow. Saturate to taste and crop to subject or subjects. Don't forget sharpen and contrast for POP!
-- Marius Jost , Thank You They were both very interesting young ladies....;)...J

Asim, I'm glad you mentioned that. Her look is that of determination. The mountain was hers and nothing I could do or say would stop her from the climb. She even refused water until the point of the second photo. ...;)....J

Thank you. I tried your recommendation as at first it seemed logical, but I just couldn't make it work. Although one incarnation looked ok it just wasn't right(crop to boys heads just above bench and wiping out left top group and woman in white). Taking out the top left group only didn't work either as the balance was then thrown off. I wanted the main focus to be the girl in the center and her interaction with the water. The girl on the right gives secondary action and depth to the story but visually needs to be balanced by the group at the top left. The little boy just isn't large enough. The only one that I can safely take out is the woman in white at the bench however she does add minimal depth to the story while being minimally distracting. So she stays.
The colous have been manipulated so as to bring a desired amount of focus to the children and their actions. (This image was very vivid in colour and especially in GREENS which I felt distracted from the story)
John, Thank You for your critique. It has been most helpful in evaluating where I am in my struggle for complex composition.
Warmly....Jay
