dumpster001 1 Posted June 19, 2004 i think it's absolutely gorgeous. i see candles and cake and assume it's a birthday for the kid he comes across as very shy here. but a real lovely shot. minor gripe would be that i wish you had panned a tiny little bit lower to include his elbow.. excellent candid. jbs 6 Posted June 19, 2004 With a smile like that in your home you are a lucky and blessed person. To the image...would like to have seen all the elbow. Good shot...;)....J Link to comment

fran_ois_courtois 0 Posted June 20, 2004 very much for your comments very touching thanks for the remark on the elbow --> I had not noticed myself until you told me You are right on the spot balaji, he is very shy and it was his birthday. He was smiling because he was watching his small brother getting crazy at the sight of the candles Link to comment

thomas_moraitis 0 Posted June 21, 2004 Lovely shot. A moment well worth capturing and very nicely captured. I just find the bokeh too harsh. Link to comment
alberto.prt 0 Posted June 22, 2004 I really like this shot. Every time I see an interesting B&W shot I discover it is a film shot, not a digital one ... maybe I'm wrong, but I think films are still better than digital for this kind of images. Alberto Link to comment
fran_ois_courtois 0 Posted June 22, 2004 I'm a bit surprised by your remark on bokeh: I like very much the bokeh of this lens, but maybe your impression is due to heavy jpeg compression ... Link to comment
thomas_moraitis 0 Posted June 22, 2004 I'm referring to the three bright circles on the upper right part. It may indeed be because of the digital compression; you have the print and you can tell :) Link to comment
