So well thought out. it if weren't for the faint tinge of green on the left onion, I wouldn't have known if this were a sepia print or not.
  1. Your portfolio is always a feast of colour. I love this one's abstract qualities too -if you hadn't entitled it 'Water tower', I would have had a hard job figuring out its scale - it could be a downtown city skyscraper or a micro-industrial bolt!
  2. So beautiful! You must have felt a magical tingle as you saw this sun rise. Cropping seems to be the main issue of critique here...yet this version is still my preferred. Empty space on the left? Poor little daisies trying so hard to mimic the glow of the sun! Just like this is how I would want this on my wall!
  3. Thanks for all your comments. My daffodils looked very cheerful on the kitchen windowsill with the sun shining through, but not bright enough to handhold the camera and get a sharp photograph. So this was a compromise.

My 'technique' was simply to use a longish shutterspeed- 1/13th at 300mm (small-ish aperture helped achieve this), and then panned upwards following the vertical centre leaf.

Fantastic composition. I'm pleased I'm sitting looking at the photo with a mug of warm tea - seeing the frozen 'fingers' of the tree looming high over the walker gives me a real chill!
  4. Beautiful abstract. It certainly is art. What I particularly love about this is the complete lack of scale. Even having stared at it for a few minutes I don't know if it is micro, close-up or even an aerial!
