I think I consider this shot to be the signature shot for my Relay
for Life pictures. The bags on the right are lumineries for
survivors and nonsurvivors of cancer, and the people on the left are
walking for the relay. I think the reason I this this is a strong
image is because there is no identity in the people - all of them
supporting this cause selflessly.
Please, comment. This is not a snapshot, but a well planned
picture, and I accomplished what I had in my mind's eye at the
time.
Again, comment. Please.

A child looks away from the list of names of cancer victims and
survivors during the luminery ceremony.

Ok, the subject isn't a serious one, but I am trying to express a
serious feeling with this shot. I dodged the eye in the darkroom to
bring it out, and over developed my film to achieve increased
contrast. I was told by one of the local commercial photographers
that my images are flat. Any suggestions? Comments? Anything
would be appreciated, comments with ALL ratings as well.

I wish his eyes were in sharper focus. It looks like you have focused on his chin.

Having a friend as beautiful and willing to pose as Heather is makes
her portraits easier than most. I would appreciate comments. Does
this composition work? Does the angle add to this shot, or take
away? Please, feedback is more useful than numbers, but if you don't
have the tim to make an effort with a comment, a rating with help as
well.

Does this effetively express anger? If not, what suggestions would
you have for improvements, and what do you get from it as is?

Your composition in this shot woul have been strong had you had some interestiing details in the esky. As is, you have a lot of wasted space witht the blank sky.

I'm working on my photojournalism skills. This is the audience at
one of our campuses coffehouses where Johnny Walker (a
comedian/singer/songwriter) performed. Comments would be greatly
appreciated!

Perhaps a horizontal format would be better for this shot. I think I see what you're going for, but you're lacking on execution.

All this needs is a good story to accompany it in a paper.

Excellent composition, beautiful exposure.

Love the composition. Love the picture. I have to wonder though, there is so much going on in this sculpture, did you take more with different focus?

Beautiful!

Has this been solarized?
