1. 1940's Theme Dance. Nikkon F, Nikkor -S 58mm f/1.4, Pan F 50 film, Epsom V700scan.
2. If you show up at the airport in the UK carrying obviously brand new gear and don't declare it then as you are a resident it could I believe be siezed. There is no way to tell if you will be checked or not. If you declare the stuff expect a hefty 20% vat bill. If it's older gear and you are staying it's personal property. I would not say anything about selling. What would happen is anybodys guess. If as resident you import gear from outside the EU into the UK you will be charged VAT even if it is vintage gear. Anything purchased in the EU then no tax. When I returned from the US I mailed my Hasselblad kit to myself just before I took off. I seem to remember a customs form that covered it as personal property. It all arrived with no tax bill.
3. OK Dave thanks, I have no idea whats authentic and what isn't. Some of the reenactors there were clearly much more serious about getting it just right than others. As I mentioned there was a complaint about googles being worn but, I don't think they were talking about the guy I photographed.
4. Thanks I think. No shooting at the photographer I just press the shutter release. Funny you mention googles, while I was there I overheard someone complain about googles. Do you live in the UK?
5. Nikon F, Nikkor 58mm f/1.4, Ilford Pan F 50asa, EpsonV700 scan
6. Nikon F, Nikkor 58mm f/1.4, Ilford Pan F 50asa, EpsonV700 scan
7. Some of Dixons gear was pretty good some ........well not so hot. I think Dixons got a foothold in retail selling unknown brand equipment as a way round the old Recommended Price Index rules.
8. There is a very hard to find adaptor that slides over the rectangular viewfinder and will allow you to use the 19mm diopter. Use the link to see. Eyecup Adapters for Nikon F
9. Assuming the mirror is clean it is likely to be dust on the screen and/or the prism. As you cannot remove the prism on a AE1 program that makes things a little tricky. Does this model offer different viewing screens? Look in a manual to see. If it does then you should be able to remove the one you have and very carefully clean it. Prism dust well, there's not much you can do without removing the top of the camera which kind of makes it a repair shop job.
10. Nikon F Nikkor -S 55mm f/1.2 Ilford Pan F+ V700 Epson scan
11. Well spotted, Must have got the negative in the scanner wrong way round. Still, it was an afternoon booze cruise.
12. Sailing as we would like it to be. From a while back Canon F1N, FD135mm f/2.0
13. Another Nikon F with a Nikkor-S 55mm f1.2. and Ilford Pan F.
14.
Thanks for the email address Sid, sent an email off and can now only cross my fingers. As for the plate, I couldn't care less what type, it's black like the camera which has a 67....... serial number indicating it is a 1966 build. The plate I ordered is off a later model. This is not a collector camera so it doesn't matter. The broken meter is no problem, heavy and clunky it won't be missed.

15.
I got hold of another Nikon F body for very little money. One of the reasons for the low price the meter is dead, no big deal, I have a prism. The other thing is the name plate on the front of the camera that spells Nikon is missing. Ebay supplied another name plate but I don't have the two retaining screws and worse, don't know what size fastener I need. Any F owners have any idea of the size required?

16.
Dahlgren cannon? Could well be, this one is located near the Santa Monica pier entrance.

17.
Original Canon F1, 50mm 1.2L, Ilford HP5

18.
Oops, Museum number 1 should be Nikkor 24mm -NC f/2.8
