    "Moonshine"

stunning! I just got that lens and you've inspired me to get out there. Great detail on the moon and you've achieved a nice effect with the clouds.

  1. Donna,

Had to check out your portfolio after receiving your nice feedback. This one struck me in particular... wonderful framing of his face... and I love all the texture captured in the background.  Will be stopping by again!

    Ciao... Amelia

  2. The original photo was vertical and included much of the tall buildings

behind - what do you think about the crop? I was trying to emphasize

the grandiosity of the limo and its relative size compared to the "little

people" on the street... does it work?

Thanks Gary - I really like what you've done. I had reservations about the distracting portion of the wildebeest head in the corner, so the crop works. And I really like the way the contrast made the animals have more depth.

  3. I like what you've done - my only suggestions would be to crop it a bit to take out the black line on the left and just a bit of the top of the cloud.  I'd definitely go back to this spot - looks like a great one for photos.

I really like this!  The balance is interesting and her outfit (and her hair bun) makes me smile.  I'd label it as a street photo.  Just one tiny suggestion to rotate it just a tad to straighten the horizon of the floor - or not - maybe you intended it to be a little off kilter.

very striking portrait - I love the way the background complements her tattoos - good composition too because the viewer's eye goes straight to her eyes (at least mine did!)

Great shot!  What I like most about it is the angle and the fact that the young man balances the diagonal of the street. Just one minor suggestion for improvement would be to play around with the brightness or levels - could be my monitor, but it seems just a bit dark. Thanks for sharing!

This is a pan shot of the wildebeest as they are exiting the Mara River

that have just successfully crossed... you can see them smiling

because many, unfortunately, do not make it...

adorable and well done technically... seems like a happy kid that could brighten anyone's day. I never tire of the joy of find a young smiling face on photo.net.

There's just something about old cars that makes them so fun to photograph - you give them new life I suppose... I was struck by the color of this image, and the way the focus was uneven - very nicely done
