Thanks a lot for your comments. For the trip, I bit the bullet and got the Canon 500mm f/4.0 L IS. It was pretty amazing. The weight didn't bother me so much because I attached a bean pod to the tripod mount that sat on the edge of an open top vehicle. Thanks for stopping by!

Neat photo - good composition and clarity - the bright light on the building is distracting a bit - this is a great place for interesting street shots. How did you manage to be all alone? I think I have one of this bean in my folder.
