A special thank and dedication to Jack who wrote words that I will keep in my heart. And yes, if "at [my] age, [i'm] still spinning fascinating fairy tales", well, I hope my narrative craving will never fail me, because I love wandering through this beautiful, intricate maze called life in search of our next tale.
Ciao and thanks again

for your comments and ratings. This work of mine holds a special place in my heart and I am more than happy to share it with you.
Someone has privately asked for a bit of the shooting context: I was visiting an important boat show in Genoa, Italy. Early afternoon under a raging sun. As soon as I noticed the two men approaching the white building under the blue sky , I felt it was the right time to frame and shoot. André Breton saw the Surrealism as the juxtaposition of "two distant realities" united to create a new one. This is what I envisioned and did. Geometry and colors, life and clouds, characters, all came together in the right moment. Click.
@Jamie, thanks for the inclusion in your favorites.
Thanks again to all of you,

@Michael: this man isn't willing to surrender to life at all :-) He is proud of his business and a very kind lad. Quite a heavy smoker too.
@Svetlana: I usually foresee my shots as far as pow, composition and color or bw choice are concerned. In this specific case, I wanted the peppers exactly where they are and a not too shallow dof. I envisioned a bw shot too. But, following your kind comment, I will post here a small untouched color version of the shot. Let me know what you think about it. Ciao, G.

to fully appreciate the face details. In my opinion you have done a very good work with the subtle creative desaturation. The smoke (without visible cigar) adds a good touch. Thanks for sharing, ciao, G.

where movement and stillness interplay nicely. Maybe a tad more of whites, but I am writing from a notebook so cannot say for sure. Compliments and thanks for sharing, ciao, G

Sometimes, as you know well, reality is hidden behind numbers, iron and plastic, but your eye goes beyond. Isn't this what photography is all about (and a few more technical things)? Chapeau. Ciao, G

you were so fast commenting :-)
To be honest I envisioned this one in b/w and waited to shoot when the lamp was not covered. As the masters say ... good timing is all. Thank you for your comments and the works you share with us, ciao, G.

This one was taken while the participants at the Strongman run in
Rovereto - Italy were struggling running over a long, insidious wall
of tires. As soon as I saw the scene I thought about Dante's Inferno
(quoted in the title). Please feel free to comment and critique. Thank
you,
G.

Very appealing subject and facial expression. Maybe, imho, it suffers a bit in the lower portion for excessive vignetting (loss of shades). Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work, ciao, G.
