  1. this shot has so many interpretative "layers" ... This is a condensed view of our present and future times. It's for sure one of those works of yours that will keep recurring in my visual memory. My compliments dear friend. Ciao, G.

that suits well, to my eyes, this beach scene. I think you did a good cropping. Thanks for sharing, ciao, G.
  3. This one was shot in a rainy, early November afternoon. It has been printed and exhibeted in a very large size. I thank you for your comments, critiques and suggestions. G.

  5. Jack: the pleasure is all mine when I read your witty comments. Rome is a strange and fascinating city where Eternal and Ephemeral melt together creating strange patterns of beauty. Michail: not without a great amount of irony we could humbly quote Dante's words: Cerbero, fiera crudele e diversa,/con tre gole caninamente latra/sovra la gente che quivi è sommersa - Cerberus, cruel monster, fierce and strange, / Through his wide threefold throat, barks as a dog / Over the multitude immersed beneath. Anyway I couldn't reach those benches without receiving a nice, warm and wet welcome hug by that gentle hell-hound. Marta: I love dogs, they're the best models ever :-) Dan: maybe this shot is not one of my best, but I love it, mostly for how I got it, directly from my belly, without raising the camera to the eye. This is why it possibly conveys a strong sense of being there.
  6. More than ever, I thank you warmly for your comments, critiques or suggestions about this shot that is part of a new collection that will be called "Exiles", ciao G.

  8. and the harsh post-production is well suited in this classy and classic shot of a urban landscape. Maybe, imho, this shot could have benefited by a slight perspective distortion correction (left side). Thanks for sharing and compliments, ciao, G.

and we have an interesting repetition too (the arrow formed by the shadows is mirrored by the pose of the model's left arm. In my humble opinion while the dress has a good point of black, I feel that white is somehow missing in the lighter parts of the shot (mostly on the wall): maybe a bit more contrast could have been beneficial to the shot ? Compliments and thanks for sharing, ciao, G.
  10. series is captivating and really interesting as far as the composition is concerned. Sometimes "breaking the rules" (the golden spiral one) is what is simply needed to achieve very good results. Compliments and thanks for sharing, ciao, G.

    Walking

Mehmet. The tonal contrast adds texture to this shot. Compliments, ciao, G.
  12. for your comments and ratings. @Carlos : this shot has been really taken in a hurry, and when I mean in a hurry I mean really really fast. I foresee the shot while waiting for the green light at a crosswalk. The traffic light went red, green for pedestrians, and I had to quickly move on the left of the Elegant Lady Lost in Her Morning Thoughts and kneel in the middle of the road. You summarized it very well: a magical impulse inspired by grace. Isn't this a statement that could be applied to photography in general ? Thanks a lot my dear PN friends, because your words mean a lot to me. G.
  13. I thank you in advance for your comments, critiques and suggestions.
