I believe every portrait photographer should be able to make a portrait like this, doesnt matter ehat they specialize in.

Beautiful work, lighting posing and facial expression.

    I love it!

very creative and funny with good use uf ultrawide lens! I am happy to see playful wedding photos that are well executed.

  1. The shadows on her face are not quite adequate to make it dramatic enough. Her nose looks to me could use more shadow to make it look more 3 dimensional. Posing and composition great btw.

Yes. I am lucky. Some models are really beautiful. The above model was Miss Universe Hungary in 2005... No wonder she is beautiful!!!

wow. Pro makeup and model. composition is perfect, post process and lighting also. Beautiful shot of a beauty. maybe the head could have been tipped a bit to the front to reduce the nostrils

good idea to use a fabric! yet the high key background and the dark clothing, and the blue does not really work together. they all fight each other.. Maybe with tighter crop and the same fabric in the background?

Better composition, yet eyes are not in focus. I find focus and recompose makes the eyes come out of focus when using large aperture. Do you also do this? better to change the focus point and not to recompose.

nice detailed exposure and beautiful crisp bw converion. It looks like you used professional portable flash system outdors with this shot. I miss more on the bottom.
  2. I didnt notice the line of the hood. Its as it was, no retouch on it. I can only use the dodging tool in photoshop, which makes white into gray... it looks fake as I do it.. Might be a better way still. I will look into it.

    Thx for your comments..

I use a canon 1ds mk1. I also have a 1d mk1 and that has nice detail in the highs but not like the 1ds. Also the shadow setail is much much better with the 1ds. Not perfect though. Sometimes hee is horizontal banding in the shadows... Dunno how the new cameras handle shadow, but the highlights are pretty good with these oldtimers too. thx for contributing critiue.

I use lightroom, and I use selective color adjustments, so it is possible, that when I adjust 1 color it changes another tone if it has the same color in it. I wish lightroom had the ability to do what lightzone does, namely that I could select specific areas with a lasso tool, and apply changes only to that area. I use lightroom, because I can shoot tethered to it. I started a month ago and its just addictive to see almost instablty the pictures and adjust them on the fly with my presets.
