As an optimist I'll have to say it's half empty.
-
-
the fact that it's not level detracts... nice colors, though. It makes the inside look inviting.
-
the first two birds' wing feathers are so close I thought one must be a copy of the other, but no!
-
I like the border, I think it really adds to the picture.
-
When you see koi here in Japan they're always in a garden pond or something, so it's throwing me for a loop that these are seemingly in a swimming pool or something.
-
The two spots almost look like eyes and the back point a nose, though, so it almost looks like the front!

What's the best shadow angle for this?
-
I think maybe they sky's a bit dull, or do you think more texture
would clutter it up?

I'm trying to decide which fire-poi picture I want to submit to a
photo contest. This one was taken only ambiant light, no flash.

colors only slightly adjusted in Photoshop.

I like it a lot, the angle brings you in, they`re like two old gossips!
-
The eternal question, is the result more important than the process?
-
nice shot overall, but maybe the focus seems a little off on the lighthouse?
-
wonderful capture, the curved lines are spectacular. So many people are taking insect photos now that digital's gone macro, it's nice to see you were taking these quality photos ten years ago!

when I saw a face was in the pic, I was expecting an angry face or a gargoyle or something heavy-metal like-- the expression on the face doesn't work I dont' think.

You have a few creative blurs that are either working for you or against you, in that it clearly focuses the attention on the chipmunk's head, but on the on the other hand it's difficult to see any kind of forms in the statue except its back. Composition is great, though, you couldn't have had them face better angles and be placed better in the frame.

Ominous and haunting. I like the blue very much, and also the curvature of the horizon lends to the composition well.
-
I think I like the one with eyes covered better. It's interesting and unconventional, with great color.
-
reminds me of the "foot map" that acupunturists use to tell which part of your foot corresponds to the spleen, etc.
-
Different screens have different color settings, so I'm never too
sure about this one and how it displays on different screens.

The pic is great, subject matter is fantastic. The wire doesn't stand out as an artifact, I didn't notice it at all, and even looking at it there's no problem with it. As for controlling what dragonflies land on, well you can read my comments in another forum here on getting the dragonfly to land.

Oh, yeah. Saw one of these puppies in Panama. Huge orb, huge spider. I only wish the picture could show you just how big this bad boy is. I couldn't take a picture over the willies.
