  1. Thanks, that method is a good start for further investigation.
  2. I searched for ascorbate, dates 2000 to 2010, got the reply "no results for your search". I am pretty sure there was a lot of discussion of ascorbate developers during that time, eg Xtol came out in 1998 and Patrick Gainer posted a lot. Am I searching in the wrong way or has all this info been lost? Thanks.
  3. Thanks John and Dave, now I know what to look for my new winter project can be started. btw, this guy recons the lens on this camera is great for making pics reminiscent of the 30's. It is the second one he discusses, at 5min 28:
  4. Revived this to ask if anyone can identify the cause of two white dots lower center from my FED NKVD 151XXX? It is otherwise worth restoring but new curtains would be too expensive, thanks.
  5. On the menu also (they gave good results with Adox CMS 20): Adotech IV TDLC-103 Caffenol CLCN Adox CMS20 developer | Page 3 | Photrio.com Photography Forums
  6. London Docklands, Mamiya 645E + 80mm Kentmere 400@200 Pyrocat HD
  7. https://www.35mmc.com/14/01/2014/fuji-zoom-date-2-8-silvi-review/ My Fuji Silvi has shutter release buttons on both sides and can be used left handed. But actually the intention of the L/H button is to enable right handed users to take selfies. It's for people who are very good looking rather than left handed.
  8. https://www.35mmc.com/14/01/2014/fuji-zoom-date-2-8-silvi-review/ The Fuji Silvi P&S camera has both left and right handed shutter buttons, I have one. But they are expensive , liked for the 24-50 zoom and compactness.
  9. Still locked down. Olympus OM-10 + , 70-150mm , 28mm
  10. 1932 Leica II + later 35mm Summaron. Still isolated near this field, don't think I will run out of trees to photograph.
  11. Exercising my 1932 Leica II with later 35mm Summaron whist isolating.
  12. Re the type of modern "Photography" where you shell out for a new Japanese Camera every couple of years and pay Adobe to use their computer programs, it just seems boring to me.How is using someone else's computer program "creative"? Better to take pictures on film, plenty of opportunity for creative activity there. I guess my perspective is completely different from that of the reviewer, I very seldom read any of the sites on the list except PN..
  13. Trying out my old folder Kodak 66 Model 3. It has a plastic top plate and only weighs 450g. I don't think anyone ever made a lightweight 6x9 folder for 120 (they were 620).
  14. It's a rather unusual fake as these FSU Leica II copies are generally based on the Zorki I or FED I, both of which look similar to a Leica II. This one, from 1956- has no such resemblance. Soviet and Russian Cameras - Fed-2
  15. THE LEICA MANUAL : WILLARD E.MORGAN : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive See p122 and later., this was from 1938-9
  16. The instruction manual only details use of the camera with Canon EF lenses. To use it with M42 lenses with an M42 - EF adapter, set the lens to manual and stop down to the required aperture ,set the left hand dial to A and the right hand dial to the number 1.The camera then provides aperture priority shooting. Almost uniquely it provides auto winding with M42 lenses
  17. My 1932 Leica II is pretty much retired now as I shoot landscapes and don't have a 28mm for it. 1932 Leica II
  18. I'm finding similar to Rick, the days of numerous people selling their old analog cameras at car boot sales have more or less passed and online auctions are the place to go.
  19. I am using Ilford Delta 100 developed in Pyrocat HD ,scanned and processed via Silver Efex Pro 2 from the free downloaded Nik Collection. Am investigating if this will allow to get by without using yellow or orange filters.
