  1. Oh yes now I see the shadows are completely different in the two pictures. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. I guess all the storks must have moved to Turkey then, maybe some global cooling going on... go figure. Did you wear your cowboy hat in Turkey?
  2. European white stork, I looked it up. HUGE nest, yup ;)

'In The Netherlands the number of breeding pairs has declined from 500 in 1910 to 5 in 1985. Denmark was home to 4000 pairs in 1890, but only 12 in 1989.' ouch

In the second picture the white balance is better methinks. Kind of funny having a fence to protect the castle eh? Maybe it is there to protect the stork... Is grandpa the president of Turkey?

Great shot Kirk. Heron looks a little worried about having his breakfast stolen... This is a very unusual and interesting photograph requiring a bit of stealth on your part to capture I am sure. Well done! Kind regards.
  3. I thought he looked familiar. I was gonna make a comment about the picture on the wall but I didn't want to offend anyone... ;) What kind of stork is that anyways? She is a beautiful bird. Is this some sort of castle behind? Please forgive me as I don't get out much anymore...

Hi Lesa. This is really a cute group shot. The photo is nicely exposed for the light you were working with. I would not blur the picture, people are too sensitive about aging methinks and uncomfortable about being photographed... Try reducing the contrast then sharpening it up a bit. If you have some bad skin then just use some very light and local softening. Cute pose and love the hats, some really special ladies I can see.

This little guy looks pretty well loved ;) I like the radial projection of his whiskers in this photograph. I would expect to see this kind of animal in black and white and rustic environment but you bring him to a whole new level well done... Regards, Becky
