  1. Ken I am so jealous of you there at East Fork Park... That is just around the corner from where I used to live. Glad you are getting to spend some time in Texas. If you get to see her then say hi to Ms. Peta for me too!

I don't think Walter looks like that, those eyes? are well what can I say...

  2. Thank you Walter. I like the brighter trees in your edit. I did not even think about the power lines but that is also an improvement. It is always a pleasure getting your input on a picture as you have a great eye for composition...
  3. Thanks Pawel & Grazyna, Michael for the kind remarks.

Hey Chris, honored that you are watching, don't hesitate to criticize anything that looks bad to you as well, I like to learn from others perspective...

I got a bit lost on the power line road through the Owens Valley in the darkness before dawn on this morning. Just as the darkness lifted I could see 395 from near this viewpoint so I was no longer lost. The view of the valley was spectacular so I spent some time watching the sun rise on this scene, a special morning of which this image will always remind me...

  4. Thanks Kyle and John for the kind remarks. My biggest issue with this image is the lack of contrast between the aspen trees and the mountain behind them but what can you do. I waited quite a while for the sun to touch the aspen trees because I wanted light there and I wanted the stump in the foreground... So this is the result, I am mostly happy with it. The ground was slushy frozen and my feet were sinking in several inches with each step. I think I might be crazy but it was so beautiful there at Lundy Lake in fall color. Thanks for taking the time to comment, much appreciated.
  5. Thanks folks! This wide perspective was created with three vertical overlapping images stitched together. I took five images for the panorama each at various exposures. The two rightmost pieces were not of much interest so not included in this composite. I used the shadow/highlight tool in photoshop to even out a high contrast image. The fishing here at convict lake is supposed to be about the best you can get and the deer at the campgrounds are very friendly. Thanks for the kind remarks on this...
