    Enfin libre

          11

Thanks Nestor. I like your comment. Its deifinitely the feel I wanted to give, and the question at the ends make me want to continue...

At last, "Al fin libre", is said "Enfin Libre"... in french. Its not a mistake!

  1. I don't want to justify myself. Here are the elements for some. I hope to join the original scans in the near future. Some of you are so sure that the pic is computer generated. If so, please may I have a copy of the software; I don't have it (not even Bryce). It's also outstanding to see how some people have never seen something alike in there life.... so they think its computer generated!!! Well, lets all rejoice! such beauty does exist. As I added before, the picture is origianl in EVERY PART. I only exaggerated the reflection of the sky, by adding the inverted sky on the oringinal water. As a good eye can see, the reflection of the sky is not as the reflection of the mast. Thats all (the blue comes from Kodak slides I won somewhere... with very saturated colors, complain to Kodak). For sceptics, I add that this pic had been taken at Ile de Sein west point of France, in the evening, with a very limpid sky. Thanks for all the comments...AM

  2. Dear RON, before criticising get yourself straight. Contrarily to your belief, the water is perfectly natural with the boat. There is no computer behind that. WHAT YOU SEE WAS REALITY! But, what didn't shock you, the reflection on the water, IS slightly PS (enhanced reflection). I find it quite relevant, people who are impermeable to computer modifications, don't even know how reality can be!

    Don't Blink.

Great picture. As most of your work.

However, now is the time to go further. Why not trying to put more emphasis on the settings, creating a scene, making the viewer interact with the picture. A scene where something is happening or not. You have all the elements for that. I was particulary inspired by the gigantic fresque by Peng, showing dozens of muses in well known poses, integrated into a fabulous setting....just my ideas, yours with no condescendance at all...

  3. As I don't usually work with textures, it's an interesting series. As you proposed on one of you comments, I would like to know for which purpose you make your photos... printing or viewing on a screen? I print each and every picture at at least 300 dpi at A3+ format... each picture is about 4500 to 6000 pixels on one length. Although not fantastically big, this still means that every digital alteration must be absolutely perfect, going down to reproducing the natural film grain, and above all carefully finishing the edges and lighting on the edges. Such alterations as you show above, are therefore VERY time consuming... and it will take me years to make folders as you show on PN, unless you're very prolific! Thanks for an answer/advice, and

keep up the great work, yours...

  4. This number four of the series. A bit like Parke-Harrison, but could

be Uelsmann... Visit the entire series on my page... and leave me a

word or two if you like it. Enjoy and critique as you feel.

  5. Tout simplement magnifique. 7/7.
